leedsunited Posted July 13, 2007 Share Posted July 13, 2007 Interesting article on ESPN Insider from Chad Ford on how the Orlando basically trashed their foreseeable future with the ridiculous contract to Rashard Lewis. Frankly, they overpaid for the guy (a guy who's talents didn't deserve a max contract), and they overbid against themselves. Factor in Dwight Howard's money and Jameer Nelson's looming extension, the team is capped out, and will be for quite some time. Either the Bobcats are smart, or the Magic are incredibly dumb. I'd say a little of both.Meanwhile, Steve Blake has returned to the Blazers after a one-year hiatus abroad. I love this move so much, it means JJ doesn't have to worry about being a starter and can help as a role player...or as trade bait. Either way.
