Entering the new NHL ERA

Hey guys! I have'nt post anything for a while, guess I was to shy since some of your work is amasing! But what the heck, this is for fun...right?!? Here's four concepts that I've been working on using the RBK edge template, well sort of, cause I changed it a bit to be easier to work with. Here they are and please, good or bad, I would love to receive your C+C on that! Thanks...

ATLANTA TRASHERS

Personnaly, I did'nt like their powder blue third jerseys, but I was wondering what it would look like in white and was pleased by the result. So might as well keep it going!

MINNESOTA WILD

Not much change from their ''original set'', but I think it goes well with the EDGE style. What do you think?

OTTAWA SENATORS

BE RED!!! The Sens last spring slogan inspired me to go with a red uniform. Looks a lot like their black third jersey, but that third one was fantastic, IMO!

PHILADELPHIA FLYERS

Even though the Flyers looks better (and meaner) in black, I wanted to go back with the orange, cause that's the way tehy were in the 70's and that's the way they should be, period!

The Senators jerseys are freaking amazing. I hope beyond all hope that what they actually come out with looks about half as good as what you drew up there. Great job!!!

ATL: My least favorite of yours, but that's more because you copied a terrible idea already in use by the Thrashers. The non-matching sleeves, the writing down one arm... it's just a collection of unorthodoxy that misses its mark terribly. Your only blame is adopting it into your concept.

MIN: Meh. Solid, but I prefer the logo without the ring and the state/name spelled out. If a logo does its job properly, there's no need to explain who the team is. So either the lettering is redundant, or the logo is vague.

OTT: My favorite of these 4. Really nice all the way around. I could see them wearing these. I could see me buying these.

PHI: Love the return to orange, a move long overdue. I was afraid I wouldn't like any radical departure from the style the Flyers have worn for so long, but I think I really like what you've done with the sleeves. There is a subtle allusion to feathers and wings which reinforces the name nicely. My only objection is to the use of the shiny metallic logo as a crest. The winged P has served with distinction for 40 seasons and never needed the hokey embellishments the team slapped on it when they brought out the most recent alternate sweaters.

In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
