GeorgesL Posted June 18, 2008 Share Posted June 18, 2008 Why does the Fort Wayne team need a name change? The Wizards have been their nickname since they joined the league. I think that would be a turnoff for the more established ticket-holding fanbase, since they have built a trust and a commitment with the Fort Wayne community. Look at Portland's situation, they were looking for a name change to replace "Beavers", but the public thwarted the idea, and said keep the "Beavers" name.
