Sharks alternate concept

Guys, the Sharks thirds suck more than the team does right now, so I gave it a new look.  It's still black, but added more teal to it.  The unique feature is located on the arms.  Along with the shimmer sheen grey piping back, the numeral sit on the double mesh allowing for a more comfortable player.

sorry puck, I wouldnt want to see them wearing that. Im not a big fan gradients myself.

the current alts by no means are perfect, but a little fine tuning here and there could make a world of difference. Such as making the neckline teal and white rather then black and white, or like I believe creamer said, add striping to the bottom of the jersey.

Thanks so far for the comments.  I wanted to play off the angle of the logo, but didn't want to make it a complete stripe combo.  I also wanted to keep it black with a hint of teal.  If this were shown on TV, you'd barely see the teal unless a closeup, so if you like the current thirds, it just looks like an alteration of the arm stripes.

That'd look great if the Sharks were a roller hockey team.

Puckguy - It IS much better than the Sharks' pajama tops. It's just that the first thing I thought of was those old Canucks "V" jerseys.

Which, believe it or not, I'd rather see them wear than those ugly "C-fish" things that they wear now.

The Vacaville Sharks. They play like a bunch of vacas (cows) anyway.

Teal Zebra: A guy online, Roger Clemente, created the template and can be used for any team. It's at:

I've created others, so you can compare:

"Variation" from the home and away jerseys:

the practice jerseys also have to be made a certain way by the centre ice company

The Sharks 3rd jersey should be a sweatshirt with a handwarmer and instead of helmets they should wear knit caps. "

Ladies and Gentlemen! Here are your San Jose Slackers!!!"

Yeah, they all suck. Especially that San Jose Stars (Islanders) one.

I suggest instead of all black there be some red. No, a lot of red.

SJknowitall- yes we do have a third jersey, and it's OK.

But when all you need is to put teal and white tape on a black practice jersey, glue on shoulder logos from the "old" jersey, and cut out the neck from the road jerseys, it just seems unimaginative. I thought I make some designs or try out designs from other teams and see what all you think.

#1 Bradleyfan- I do have a lot of time, but my college major is Graphic Design and this was an assignment, and with the luck of the current jerseys I thought I'd throw this out to other Sharks fans.

Peppermint- I thought about color changes, but I didn't want to alter the team's logo or colors for the assignment.

Have a good weekend and thanks for the comments!

As much as I hate the Philly and Isles alternates, they look much better in your designs. Still not a big fan of the Philly-style design, but the Isles design could work with a few tweaks.  I hate the trim on the back that cuts into the numbers, for example.

Nice work.  And you, like I, do have too much time on your hands. ;)
