The Steelers should switch spots with the Cowboys.

In my mind, the top two are about as right as right can be. True, the Steelers have won every Super Bowl they've appeared in (as have the Niners)...but the Cowboys have also appeared in more of them than any other team since the merger--and still won five. (If they somehow manage to win it this season...that top spot is on lock for definite.)

No they haven't.

I wish but no.

the Cowboys have also appeared in more of them than any other team since the merger--and still won five.

But they have lost three including 2 to the Steelers in the same decade.

Right, right...forgot about that one loss to the Cowboys that won the 'Boys their fifth.

And true, the 'Boys did lose two to those Same Steelers...the fact remains, though, that they were good enough to make it to more SB's than any other team. Won two in the '70s and three in the '90s--and now they're on an upswing again. I think those two points give them the edge.

(On another note...that these teams have met three different times for the Lombardi trophy, though, pretty much does sum up the fact that they should be tops on the post-merger list, IMO. Could we see it again in February? We'll see...)

I try not to think about that...
