spyboy1 Posted February 2, 2009 Author Share Posted February 2, 2009 These uniforms give barber pole sweaters a bad name.Ottawa's original barber pole sweaters had half the stripes of these and aren't nearly as dizzying.uglyWhile I liked the idea of a throwback game, and thought the jerseys were fun, I also had the same thought and agree that if they had less stripes that were wider like the old Ottawa sweaters, they'd be easier on the eyes. They would tire my eyes after a while, but on the other hand, it's really cool to see these brought back for just a few games. I wish the Habs would wear their two other alts this year. Sodboy13 Posted February 2, 2009 Share Posted February 2, 2009 PJ Stock seemed to think that one of the reasons the habs lost the game today was due to the jerseys and the younger guys on the team not being able to adjust to the new equipment involved (helmets, gloves, etc.) and that the inconsistent colours make in hard for you to "see" your players.Anyone else think this is possible? I don't know about this one - when I played we had 4 different jerseys one season, and seemed to have no problem transitioning...then again, I was never a pro.When considering the validity of PJ Stock, it's helpful to keep in mind that he's a fumbling idiot who's not allowed to disgrace the CBC set with his physical presence. He's like Canada's own Stephen A. Smith, and appears to know just as much about hockey.
