MLB recolorizations

Hello, everyone. I made some concepts for each of the 30 teams in MLB. I just posted all of the AL teams. I wanted experiment with different colors schemes. However, the amount of concepts vary with each team as some teams don't need a change in uniforms. Note for some of the concepts, I use colors that are rarely seen in baseball uniforms such as green, brown, teal, tan, & even purple. Be glad that I didn't use pink in any of the concepts.

AL West Teams

Next time, I'll post links to the NL teams as soon as I post them. Constuctive criticism is welcomed.

Update: Here are the NL teams. Some are just minor tweaks

So you just took images from sportslogos.net and used the fill tool? Sorry, but generally around here most people don't think too well of recolors, and these are no different. Think a little bit about the concept before you do it, don't just recolor in random ways. Like green and brown for the Rangers? Ugh.

some of them could look descent if you executed them properly. the way you just threw about 3 different oddly colored logos with oddly colored jerseys to match didn't work too well.

i do kinda like your black and red chisox jersey, and the Rays back to dark green especially, if you could come up with a way to use those colors with a new logo or th Rays would be nice.

well, they're out there, I'll say that. They certainly weren't the greatest, but I do like your Houston Astros concept with the old blue and orange and the royal blue brewers jersey

I was bored, okay?! Besides, I did credit the Chris Creamer site before I started to post these.

First off, welcome to the boards.

Second, If you have an attitude like that, your stay here will be brief.

Third, 99.9% of recoloring are concepts not worth posting. They are frowned upon here. If you're going to make a concept, show some creativity and make your own graphics...

I wasn't accusing you of any wrongdoing. I don't really care if you credit them or not. But by using Chris' image instead of working from a blank template, you are just showing laziness. That was my point.

And please don't argue with people who have taken the time to post on your thread. We are trying to help you (which includes telling you not to do recolors). Learn to accept criticism and use it to your advantage.

You guys are right. I stink at making original sports logos & uniforms. Just about everyone else here has creative ideals & I realize that I can't compete. I didn't know that recoloring was unpopular in this forum.

The links are now dead now. Please delete this topic, moderators of this forum. I'll leave you guys alone now. I'm sorry for wasting everyone's time. Back to the drawing board for me

I dont think anyone said you stink. It's not your fault you didnt know that recolors were frowned upon. It takes time to learn logo design, you just have to take the time to learn it. I've been on here for months, and I am still no where near a proffesional designer. If you have the passion for it, you will get better. OK, my rant is over. :P

Hey, don't be down on yourself or anything, it just takes practice, I'm sure you don't stink, you just debuted with something that no one really liked. Just keep working at it, take some time to think about a concept, and then post. I'm sure you will see the more you take time on the concept, the more positive the comments will be, and the even if it needs work, the more it will evolve. Don't quit though.
