Ben5
With the fantasy football season approaching, I have retooled my fantasy football team. Gone are the Gamblers, in are the Gunslingers. I decided to stay with an old west theme, hence the wordmark and numbers. My primary logo is my wordmark under a six shooter. Most definitely would not fly in a professional league today, but I think I can get away with it in a fantasy league. My color are a gun metal black (really just dark grey) and a deep red. Uniforms are simple; I've utilized a curved wordmark, a la the old UConn uniforms. As of right now, I have two choices for a helmet. The first is the sixshooter as a logo, the second is the R. What do you think? Keep the gun? Use the R (and maybe put the gun on the sleeve)? C&C is appreciated greatly!
RIPmetrodome
the font is awesome, really fits the team name. i would keep the R as the helmet. the gun just seems like it doesnt belong.
CJworks
Nice! In the script though it looks like it says 'Freno' because of the position of the gun. Maybe make it ontop of the script. And I also would only consider one helmet; the 'r' one
ldswoosh33
I like this; really good job. Put the gun on the sleve somewhere. Maybe put the numbers on the top of the shoulders and the gun on the sides. I agree the 'R' looks better than the gun on the helmet. Maybe a red of white helmet might look sweet. I really like the font too.
bohob
Yes, Anderson Four Feathers Falls is a beautiful font. As far as the helmet options go, I'd use the R on the helmet and make the gun a hip logo, like it's in a holster.
OneToughGame
I like the Jerseys but I just don't think the name or the logo would ever work. It'd be just like the Washington Bullets issue.
Ben5
So everyone pretty much seems to like the "R" helmet. Here is another edit: gun on sleeve, or no gun on sleeve?
afarough
Those unis are sharp and clean.
ldswoosh33
Those unis are sharp and clean.agreed, but there should be a white (road) and alternate color (may be red) uniforms.
MJWalker45
I tjink if you came up with a logo similar to San Antonio Gunslingers it'd look better then a lone pistol
BBTV
I think it's a little too much of a literal interpretation of a gun to really make for an effective logo. Stylize it more, maybe integrate some team-specific marks into it.
quantum
What about using crossed pistols? I think that anytime you can use imagery instead of text, you should. Text helmet logos in football should be relegated to college teams unless an image couldn't do it justice (the NY Giants, for example).
bohob
I really think pistols on the hips would be the way to go. However, I do like quantum's idea of crossed pistols and I also agree with BBTV's point regarding stylization.
bulldogbarks55
Great job. But you do realize that the "R" helmet looks just like the late, great Ottawa Rough Riders of the CFL. That's OK, the Roughies aren't using it or any helmet right now.
