Sport Billy
The logo is nice, even if a little boring. But the subtle arch shape and the fleur-de-lis are nice hints to St. Louis. The flame is pretty nice--but I don't know what it represents.
Gothamite
Man, I love reading ad copy."the fleur-de-lis, the city's other most instantly recognizable marketing symbol." I don't disagree that the fleur is identified with St. Louis, but "other most"? The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. illwauk
I definitely feel what you're saying, but after having thought of it, I really can't come up with something that would qualify as the "other" more than the FDL... besides the Cardinals of course, and you know the big league club would've had a baby if a team in the same town put a redbird on its crest (even though I'm really liking the idea the more I think about it). Gothamite
I don't debate that it's the second most recognizable symbol, but it's not the "other most" recognizable symbol."Most" is definite. You can't have two "mosts". Except, of course, in a press release. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

You can't have two "mosts". Except, of course, in a press release. You can if you distinguish one as being "second" most, which is what I think they were trying to do by saying "other."Of course, you'd hope that "trying" wouldn't be a word that would refer to a press release, so I guess we're talking semantics at this point
