ChuckDownfield Posted January 6, 2010 Share Posted January 6, 2010 I was looking at C-fish's concept for the Bradenton Pirates, and I decided to try making a skull logo of my own. I did not copy him or anything, I used a different angle and everything. So C-Fish I hope you are not offended, and if you are, let me know, because I will take this down immediately. Well, without further adieu, on to the concept.I started off with a sketch that you can see here http://i49.tinypic.com/34xoyom.jpg. Seeing as I am a paint user, in order to clean up the logo I used vector magic, but you can see the original paint version here http://i47.tinypic.com/2n6x7ox.jpg. Here is the logo.I am glad to take C&C on this, however I don't know when I will get to the updates as midterm exams are coming up. I will get around to it eventually though. CJworks Posted January 6, 2010 Share Posted January 6, 2010 This doesn't look bad, pretty nice, really. I agree with the no silver outline idea, As you already have a black white and purple one. This could definately get cleaned up a whole lot. To me, it looks like he's wearing a paper party hat, so ya gotta add depth to that . jaha32 Posted January 6, 2010 Share Posted January 6, 2010 it just seems very rough and jagged. nothing is smooth or consistent as far as line thickness. even the diamond shapes in the crown seem very rushed and not the same shape. at least lose the outermost purple outline for starters. i like the angle you have on the skull and think it is pretty accurate spacially, but the details need alot of fine tuning. I made fixed the problem with the spacing a shape of the outlines. I also made new teeth. I am having trouble with how many outlines I want to keep, so I put up a poll. C&C please. Rock the vote.
