NJTank
Blanda was a one of a kind, great QB who became a Kicker at the end of his career, and was one of the best kickers of his era. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

leopard88
I'm going to date myself by saying that I remember when George Blanda was still playing. He was one of my father's favorite players because he was 2-3 years older than my father, so I always liked him too.46 doesn't sound that old when you're 43 compared to how it sounds when you're younger. On the other hand, playing in the NFL at 46 sounds even more amazing when you're 43. Varsity Blue
His career might have been padded by sitting on the bench in Chicago for most of the 1950s.Still, playing as long as he did is nothing to sneeze at.
