The comment section... wow.

"What a joke.................ISU should be ashamed. How many Plains graduates have attended ISU. I agree with oldlady. How can you own the Cardinal logo??? Maybe the St.Louis Cardinals shoud sick their bigtime attorneys on ISU??? I would like to see all the teams/mascots nation wide that have a Cardinal logo. What is ISU going to about them???"

In the school district's defense, those two logos look nothing alike. I don't understand how ISU has any grounds to make the claim that Pleasant Plains ripped their logo off.

Before we crack on ISU for possibly wrongfully persecuting a bad MS Paint drawing...

Behold! That sure looks a lot like ISU's logo on their football field and football team.

While we're at it and tangentally mentioning Arizona, Behold! Metamora Township High School just outside of Peoria!

I kind of figured that might be the case, just didn't take the time to do the research. That's some great reporting right there.

This is as good a place as any to bring it up, and not an original thought, but is there any reason that so many "Cardinals" and the like use a white helmet and red bird head as their logos?

As mentioned above, Arizona Cardinals, Louisville, Illinois State, Ball State... There has to be other options.
