Boston Bruins concept

Hi guys-

I love the Bruins black and gold look, and I would never want them to depart from it full-time, as it's become iconic, and the colors alone have become a nickname for the team. However, I do like the look of the original brown and gold, and I wanted to make a concept featuring these colors. I used the Orr-era crest, and the 90s block wordmark on the shoulders. For a bit of something different, I put the Alternate Captain's "A" (I used Bergeron for the NOB) inside a spoked circle, mimicking the crest. I also added 6 stars to one of the sleeves for each Stanley Cup championship. This is inspired not by soccer teams who add stars around their crests for championships, but by the sweaters of Boston College. During the recent NCAA Championship, I noticed that the Eagles had stars above their NOBs to signify their championships. I didn't like the stars above the NOB on these sweaters, and I didn't like them anywhere on the front or on the hemline, so I put them on one sleeve.

Disagree vehemently with the return to brown and gold, it looks far too muddied.

However, I like what you're doing with the captaincy patches. Very unique and very cool.

But, I don't like the script on the should patches.

Not a huge fan of the lettering on the shoulder, but I like the captains' patches.

This would be a great vintage third (or fourth, don't follow hockey as much) uni for the Bruins. I like the brown and gold look.

I agree- I'd consider a darker brown.

I also agree with everyone saying that the captain patch. Pretty sweet.

Here's an update, with a darker brown and new shoulder patch. Away and third coming up. I might do it in black too, considering the backlash against brown and gold. It's a solid design, so doing it in black might widen its appeal too.

Those are fantastic! The only change you should make is to have the road striping be y/b/y and to have brown numbers with a yellow outline. If not for the amazing current set for the B's, I would say that these should be on the ice right now! Especially that yellow jersey, that should be the current alt!

I love the captain patch. The rest of the jersey is pretty cool looking. I like most, prefer the black and gold but I'm okay with having the brown on the third.
