I wanted to do a concept series where Nike sort of copied Adidas' idea, but made their uniforms more unique. So there's a lot of modern mixed with traditional in this series. These concepts will also have the chest logos too. I'm doing the biggest non-conference game Nike vs. Nike teams in this series. Here's what I've decided to do so far.

-Miami @ Kansas State

First up are Boise and MSU

This Boise concept uses their logo set from 1971-2001. I recolored the logo on the helmet to all orange, because the original is blue/orange/blue. I used the state logo with the bronco on it, because it fit well on the jersey, and is really creative and unique. The helmet logo was used on the helmets up until 2002 also.

I wanted to make this MSU concept include bronze, because it's a color MSU hould take advantage of IMO. The checkerboard on the pants is part of the idea for a classic design. I put the number inside of the spartan, because if I had put it next to the script, the collar area would've looked busy.

And Washington and LSU

With Washington, I wanted to keep the same style striping that hey have on their pants and helmets, and use it in a unique way. I was originally thinking about making a "W" with the striping, but it seemed kind of garish, so I went with the classic "W" that they currently use.

LSU has had the yellow/white/yellow shoulder striping on their purple jerseys a long time. I wanted to use the 2 colors in a different way by just dumbing the stripes down a little. If you're wondering why the jersey is purple, it's because LSU wheres purple in non-conference home games. anyway, I really like the new logo set that LSU released a few years ago, and wanted to put that on the front. The tiger eye logo however, was my favorite logo to use when making this. It's a bad ass logo, and is instantly recognizable to LSU. I really like the way it turned out on the helmet. Would be cool to get the story on the inspiration for each team. They seem kinda random as they are right now.
