OhioSportsMan61
With Ohio State rumored to be releasing a new set of uniforms next season, I thought I would go ahead and take a guess as to what we Buckeyes will see on Saturdays next fall. _ _First off, if you saw ESPN's "Training Days", there was a scene in Coach Meyer's office with this in the background... _ _ _Now, who knows if that is something we'll see this fall for the Nike Pro Combat Rivalry series that has yet to be released, or if that is something we will see next fall. From that picture, I take away the larger TV numbers from the "Eddie George Era", different sleeve stripes, and a darker shade of gray used. _ _So this is how I see things playing out.... _ _For this year's Nike Pro Combat Rivalry Series, I see Ohio State paying homage to their 2002 National Title team (10 year anniversary) with these bad boys... _ _ _ _and yes, those are buckeye leafs sublimated in the numbers _ _By popular demand, these threads remain the permanent 'new' home uniforms for the Buckeyes in 2013, and matching (also from 2002) away uniform is added. _ _ _ _Since Ohio State is one of Nike's 'big-time' partners, they take part in the Nike Pro Combat Rivalry Series once again, wearing these threads against Michigan (loosely based off of 2011 NPC worn vs Wisconsin). _ _ _ _..... _ _And for a bonus concept, here's something a little more out of the ordinary and less traditional _ _ My Behance Portfolio --- Follow @Steinosaur19
bucknut40
Ohio State has been wearing the custom cleats and gloves all year....I like the idea of the paying homage to the 2002 national title team. But as for full time uniforms I like what they have now. It matches the stripe on the helmet and pants #RaiderUpTwitter-@R_Redinger4 My Blog-Southwest Ohio Football NCFAF-Wheeling Coal Miners,NCFAF-FCS Lake Erie Shoremen, NCFAB-Wheeling Coal Miners
-Akronite-
The only thing I don't like about the current OSU set is that the striping between the home/road is inconsistent. The home has redundant red while the away adds gray into the stripes where it is otherwise absent. There was a concept on here that place the helmet stripe on gray sleeves for the scarlet and white uniforms, which seemed like a great solution to me. The classic stripes aren't a bad option either.
