South of South Street
So this is a stadium concept that has been sitting in the vault for awhile. But its spring training so I figured what the hay. This stadium is for the A's, should they move back to Philadelphia for some reason. Unlike my Phillies stadium which is on the Riverfront this stadium harkens back to the old days and is located on the northeast corner of North Broad Street and Girard Avenue. (Currently a McDonalds, some buildings and the now closed William Penn High School). Idubbed it "Girard Avenue Fairgrounds" in lieu of a corporate sponsor. The exterior design incorporates a colonnade, an open street corner, and large top mounted billboards. The interior goes way back with exposed steel (including obstructed view seating), deep overhangs, and a grandstand structure in the outfield.http://i1078.photobu...ch/fa902f88.jpghttp://i1078.photobu...ch/473e3f95.jpghttp://i1078.photobu...ch/64b054a4.jpghttp://i1078.photobu...ch/0f0e46d8.jpghttp://i1078.photobu...ch/e790e7bd.jpgAs always, all comments are welcome.South of South Street
RETROJR79
I like it it's modern and it have that classic look like a cross between Citi Field and Citizen One Park.
GriffinM6
I love it! The outfield looks almost just like The Ballpark in Arlington though, but flip flopped. It's still really nice.

South of South Street
Thanks for comments. I was definitely going for the mix of old and new.
MJWalker45
For the left field bleachers I'd remove the poles at the front of the stands. Though it has the old time band box feel, they would be eliminated to avoid blocking fan views.
South of South Street
I hear you. It was done as both a nod the old stadiums stands and a place where you feel like you are part of the " Grandstand Group". Loke being i the 700 level group at the Vet. steff002
The interior looks just seems so retro to me! Idk if that's what you were going for, but it works soooooooooo well
South of South Street
I think that you have to mix the old and new. Especially in baseball. The nostolgia of the game is always coupled best with the ballpark. Some new stadiums do it well, and others try to hard. Thanks for the comments.
