camly
I think that that's a good amount of black for the Reds. It helps the font stand out but it's not overwhelming like in the late '90s early 2000s. I'm in a way excited for the '70s Pirates!
GriffinM6
Day 3 for Pittsburgh. I'm still using the Tuscan font, but the colors have changed to black and athletic gold 16 years earlier than in real life. This set is from 1932-1940. Expect to see the 3-stripe socks in most of the future uniforms too.HomeAway
FGM13
Looks a bit modern for the '30s. GO OILERS-GO BLUE JAYS-GO ESKIMOS-GO COLTS
GriffinM6
Not really. Maybe the sleeve piping, but other than that, there are lots of aspects of the 30's in there. I.E. striped socks, The Pirates actually used a Tuscan font for their script, they had a sleeve patch at one point.
AHcreative
I was actually thinking the same thing; this looks like it came out of the 60s or 70s. Waaay too modern, IMO.
St Louis Cardinals
1932:1938:uniform seems on par with 38, but waay to modern in 30 #9 LSU vs. TCU
GriffinM6
I simplified the uniforms by removing the sleeve piping and patch.
AHcreative
Getting there, but it still feels too modern. I'd like to see a softer transition from blue and red to black and gold.
GriffinM6
Day 4 features two uniform sets. I started to use the current P on the hat, and font that the Buccos have used since 1948.The first set is from 1941-1948HomeAwayThe second set is from 1949-1957. The Pirates used uniforms similar to this at this time, so there is no need to call these uniforms too modern looking.HomeAway
thepjguy
Are you going to act like all the teams started in 1900. I think that'd be awesome!!

GriffinM6
Don't worry guys, I'm planning on unveiling the rest of Pittsburgh's uniforms on Tuesday. Be prepared for some awesomeness!
csura999
I'm really liking this thread, it's good work and very creative, I'll definitely be keeping tabs on this series.May I politely suggest something if you do not mind? In the earlier uniform sets you create, maybe stick to using lower numbers like 1-9 because back in the older days of first using numbers, a position player's number was determined by their spot in the batting order. Unless you're going to bypass that for your series here, then ignore this part of my post.Keep up the nice work. I'm enjoying this so far.

GriffinM6
Last day for the Pirates part 1. This is mega unveil day!First set is from 1958-1969. I liked the vest look the Buccos used at this time, and decided to use it. The only differences between this set and the real one is that the chest scripts are different.HomeAwayThe second set is from 1970-1974. It's about to get 70's up in here, complete with a 70's template. This is a bit conservative, but wait till you see the next set.HomeAwayThe final set is where it gets ultimate 70's. In this set, I imagined that the Pirates loved how the Steelers won the super bowl in 1974, that they based their new uniforms set on none other than the Steelers. The alternate is a baseball version of the Steelers actual home jerseys. This set is from 1975-1981.HomeAwayAlternateStay tuned for the rest of the uniforms at sometime between 8-9 PM.PS - Big thanks to jvelleu for his 70's template. St Louis Cardinals
I'd be okay with the steelers rip off if you had tweaked the striping at least a little bit. Right now it looks like a lazy and complete rip off of the steelers. sorry for the harsh words #9 LSU vs. TCU
LAWeaver
Maybe thicken the same white stripes on the 75-81 jerseys or better yet, use the font on the first two from that set. @loganaweaver - Twitter / @loganaweaver - Instagram / Nike Vapor Untouchable Football Template / Logan's Logos
