JamieRose
It leaves a lot of room for improvement, but it is streets ahead of their previous logos. I was never a fan of their older branding (and it was mostly a product of its time). I think it takes the right step into the professional realm, and it's definitely "artsy". GFB
I really dig this... Especially the mobile app and the type treatment.

CAB
My god... do NOT read the comments section of that youtube video (that should be a hard and fast rule anyway, but yeah). Dudes with My Little Pony avatars are trying to dish out branding advice. Anything would have been an improvement over what they had before, and I like this more than I did initially now that I see the d and A. That old mascot-whatever-the-hell-it-is-thing reminds me that DeviantArt is mostly a cesspool of weird fanfiction and gaudy anime vectors. This new logo is a step in the right direction. Somebody buy this man a beer.I'm not defending the logo. I think it kind of sucks, but it's better than the uber-late-90's logo they had forever. BrandMooreArt
love the new identity. im calling it one of my favorite 5 identities of the year. the biggest reason is how they commissioned some of their members to make something to include in the brand applications. (my favorite DA artist Cyril Rolando did the one below). you cant be more authentic in your advertising than that. and it raises the perception for the community, showing the world that the site isnt full of bad anime and Brony crap. the logo is pretty clever. like any good art it appears to be one thing (an abstract puzzle piece) but is really something else (a monogram-ambigram). it's true meaning doesn't hit you in the face right away; you have to study it for a minute and let your mind put it together. this is the right way to brand art GRAPHIC ARTIST BEHANCE / MEDIUM / DRIBBBLE

DaRadniz29
It's better than what they had, but man, I know the "d" is there, but my brain just won't accept it.
