  1. I love this idea. I know it's been thrown around for a while but I proposed something similar in our NASCAR fantasy league here that never got off the ground. Glad to see it's happening for real
  2. I was MOCKED on here for merely suggesting this a month ago
  3. As someone who was forced to use Qualtrics in the past two months, I hope this is the worst identity the league sees ever and the team moves again very soon.
  4. Texans had one of my favorite sets in the NFL. But only teams that are old as :censored: are allowed to keep their uniforms for too long. Their look didn't do something that overtly modern at the time and felt it like it could last a while. If the Texas uniforms were dated, then so are the Colts, Packers, and Steelers.
  5. As someone who didn't grow up in the Orange Crush Broncos era (Second Elway Super Bowl was my first year tangentially watching football), I don't like it. Broncos, to me, are a navy, then orange team. Not saying it's bad just that I don't like it. But then again, I rarely have to watch the Broncos, so it's not a big deal. The uniform itself is ok! Aside from the forced lame thing happening in the numbers.
  6. What is the end goal for number of teams? I thought we'd all be good once each league ended up at 32. The math an symmetry makes too much sense.
  7. Except neither of them had any collegiate (or anywhere?) head coaching experience prior to being hired. Pope has been a head coach for 10 years. Not saying he'll be successful, but it's not really comparable to Howard/Ewing (Or Mullin or Mike Woodson or Penny Hardaway or....). He'd be more comparable to Matt Painter. Anthony Grant, Hubert Davis, and Jon Scheyer are examples of this working but unlike Ewing/Howard they had collegiate coaching experience before landing their current roles, though Scheyer/Davis were only assistants.
  8. The TBS thing was part of the deal when Turner got involved to make sure every game was shown. It rotates every year now I believe. It was on there in 2022 as well, and was supposed to be in 2020. The timing is egregious. I get that it was in a more western time zone than usual, but sporting events are getting increasingly later and later. I'm still going to stay and up and watch the whole thing because to me it's the best sporting event by a wide margin, but I'll still be adjusting my sleep schedule for the next week or two. Even though I watch less and less football each year, I enjoy that the Super Bowl is consistently an early evening start each year.
  9. In all fairness, most fans of any team are insufferable I hate that "what they'll do in the NBA" is ever part of the discussion when discussing the legacy/ability of college basketball players. I know the next logical step, but we're allowed to just enjoy things for what they are.
  10. But I thought coaching was just....halftime adjustments? (or other trite phrases I can yell at the TV to let everyone know I know sports)
  11. I guess I was only thinking about teams where this isn't true (after a lot of good road jerseys were posted). The Reds, Giants, Cubs, Yankees all have great home whites, but the roads grays are so boring. Maybe it's the switch from a logo on the upper left to a wordmark. Even the Reds script Red uniforms are worse than the ones they replaced.
  12. I'm not sure what I think of the New Yankees gray uniforms. As someone who values parallel looks between homes and roads when possible I guess it's good that both and home and away uniforms have no cuff stirpes. More of an overall question: not considering the new template, are there any teams whose road grays are better, or at least on par with the home whites? I can't think of a single team where the road gray isn't just a worse uniform design than the home uniform
  13. So happy that Purdue made it. Now everyone can shut the hell up about Matt Painter (people said the same things about Jay Wright and Tony Bennett).
  14. None of the of three teams are using the current wordmarks on those jerseys, but they all do also other home uniforms that they don't seem to wear as often
