  1. It's clear the Big West doesn't want them. Why don't they try to join the WAC? It might not be the best fit overall, but they still would have two other local partners in CSUB and California Baptist.
  2. Jacksonville won't do it. That's a big reason why Kerwin Bell isn't the coach there anymore. He claims they told him they'd start to offer scholarships and reneged on that.
  3. They're that desperate to be UMass Amherst? As an independent, that's essentially what they'll likely end up being.
  4. Speaking of Cal State, here's the CSU San Bernardino Coyotes
  5. I wonder if this is a big part of the reason why they didn't expand. They can still have a championship game and get the revenue that way, but do it between the top two teams. The way things have gone lately, both of those top two teams have been in the playoff picture. It may be that they wanted the winner of the championship game, even if it was the lower-ranked team in the season, still have a shot at the playoff.
  6. I went to one of the games that ASU played against UMass Lowell last year. ASU played hard for two periods, then got really chippy after that. They scored the first goal before ultimately losing 8-1.
  7. I wonder why Boise missed the cut. They'd be competitive in football and basketball.
  8. Davenport (MI) just got accepted into the GLIAC and will transition to DII

  10. On another note, I wouldn't be shocked if, eventually, Division 2 goes bye-bye. They seem to have many of the costs (scholarships and travel and other things) that the Division 1 schools have, but none of the TV revenue.
  11. I've always liked that Humboldt one. I live in New Hampshire now, and there are three (soon to be two) D-2 schools in state: Franklin Pierce University Ravens in Rindge St. Anselm Hawks in Goffstown, which borders Manchester. They're moving down to Division 3. (Alumni are pissed, but I haven't heard anything rescinding the move.) They're angling to get into the NEWMAC. Southern New Hampshire University Penmen in Manchester. (They just bought the naming rights to the soon-to-be-former Verizon Wireless Arena.) All three are currently in the Northeast-10.
  12. There are some clunkers, too. Bowie State Bulldogs Florida Tech Panthers Miles Golden Bears West Chester Golden Rams
  13. Might as well bump this with U. of Tampa's new logos
  14. Didn't UCSD already try to pass an initiative like this, and it got declined?
  15. They don't. Only the Northeast-10 sponsors it at that level, with only Stonehill, St. Anselm, SNHU, Assumption, St. Michael's, and Franklin Pierce sponsoring it at this level. Fellow NE-10 members Bentley and AIC (Atlantic Hockey), and Merrimack (Hockey East) sponsor it at the D-1 level. UMass Lowell used to be in the NE-10 and played in Hockey East before they moved all their sports up to Division 1. The teams play each other, in addition to a mix of D-3 and club teams. If I'm not mistaken, there's also no D-2 men's volleyball.
  16. I love the use of f-holes on those Nashville logos!
  17. I'm sure there's got to be a bigger version of this out there, but American University does have an eagle logo. Here it is:
  18. Doesn't American University have an eagle-head alternate?
  19. I like the idea of sleeved basketball jerseys. Nobody's executed them well yet, though. I think they should put some kind of sleeve stripe or sleeve logo or something like that, or even shoulder-to-armpit hoops.
  20. Could you update and modernize this logo and maybe make it into a wallpaper? THANKS!
  21. Sure, if I had no plans for the rest of my life I'm sure that there are a bunch of us here that'd be more than willing to help...
  22. Anybody know the font that Florida Tech uses in their FT logo:
  23. I like this font a lot. What is it?
  24. What's the font that St. Mary's uses?
  25. what's the font that the St. Mary's Gaels uses for their stuff?
