Islanders road Fisherman logo & jersey only visit to Edmonton on January 31, 1997 when the Oilers wore these home one-season wonders with the navy & copper-red trim shoulder yoke. Next season the Isles replaced their 'Gortman fish sticks' logo with their classic NY logo and the Oil went yokeless on their home whites.

Is there a forum or sub-forum where I can request an original concept (with compensation) for a local sports team I play for? We're looking into ordering jerseys and have a rough sketch of a logo, as well as an idea for another secondary logo. If not, is there any recommended designers you would suggest I reach out to? Absolutely amazing job! Love the logo and the subtle reasoning for everything involved in your Winter Classic design. I hope Seattle & Vegas do exactly or very similar to your uniform concepts because those are bang on in the spirit and nostalgia of the outdoor game.

As a kid and to today, I still love the Islanders fisherman logo & home white jersey (have one myself); the blue was OK. I thought the colors complimented each other, and the wavy look of the jersey was original & made perfect sense to the nickname. As an Oiler fan, I HATED this alternate jersey, apparently the best selling 3rd of all-time, ugh.
