The Niners helmet paint was distinct from the Saints, even back in that era. Some years it was more subtle than others, but it was definitely different. The Niners used to mix in actual (I think) 24k gold flake in with the paint, while the Saints process was a little different. It was somewhat similar to what Notre Dame used to do. Of course, all of that has changed in the last 15-20 years.

Miami and San Francisco need to see this
No they don’t. Especially Miami. If anything, Miami needs to make the throwbacks their primary look and ditch the toothpaste dolphin altogether.- 9

I really hope we get a 2017 rematch but I hope the Astros sweep the Dodgers this go around. Really twist that knife.

Eagles feel like they’re rounding into form maybe a season earlier than expected, but yeah it’s not too surprising to see them playing well. My biggest question mark was Hurts (who I’m definitely rooting for), and so far he’s looked great.

That’s mostly fair. I still don’t think the Niners offense is good enough to sustain.

Is it though?
My first instinct was to say yes, but then I look at the AFC and the only two teams that really stand out to me are Buffalo and KC, soEDIT: Wait, what? How are you putting the 49ers in the top four? They’ve lost to the Bears and Broncos. If anything I’d still put teams like Green Bay and Tampa above them.
-
Rams and 49ers are two of the most bi polar teams I’ve ever seen. I genuinely have no idea how the NFC West is going to end up finishing. Can none of these teams make the playoffs?
, at this point? I almost feel like the Seahawks could still around and win that division.

Let us dream man
I think if anyone has the right to dump on Sacramento’s pro sports team dreams, especially when it comes to a MLS bid, it’s me.
I would love for it to happen, but I can tell you from first hand experience that it’s next to impossible. Sac just doesn’t have enough to offer.
Edit: Thumbs down me all you want man, but I worked in that front office for five seasons and saw how underfunded, hapless, and straight up shady it all was first hand. I don’t just say that as speculation, I say it from actually experiencing it.

Funny you should mention that because at one point during the game tonight I felt the same way about the Bucs as I did the Titans during the Bills game. It felt like they came into the season as contenders, but at that moment it really did feel like maybe their window of really contending was starting to close.
I’m not sure what the Titans injury issues are, but there’s really no way the Bucs can contend if they don’t get more healthy. They came into the season already a bit hamstrung due to the cap, and decided to mostly focus on the offense while letting guys like JPP and Suh go. Well, now the Bucs offense has a ton of injury issues, and up until tonight was completely anemic. Not exactly a recipe for success.
Brady still looks somehow just lights out and Evans is basically a WR version of Gronk. How can you even cover him? But something has to give eventually if they can’t get the ground game cooking. Even Tom Brady can’t throw a million passes every game. And that’s not going to be easy without an offensive line.
I’m just hoping this is one of those things where it’s just a product of playing the Chiefs. They’re really good and that offense is one of the best I’ve ever seen. I’m really not that worried about the division as the Panthers look terrible and the Saints are basically a bad team version of the Bucs in therms of injuries. But I do have a feeling that Atlanta is going to be pretty annoying, in the very least.

Could’ve been worse
At least they kept fighting rather than laying down like they would most years pre Brady. Still though, the slow starts are maddening. They’ve basically always had this issue, and then they went out and promoted a dude to head coach who’s kinda famous for his teams getting out to slow starts.
I dunno, Bucs are in a dog division and as long as they make the playoffs, anything is possible with Brady. Also, they got dog walked by the Chiefs two years ago and then beat them in the Super Bowl, so, eh.
This year’s Bucs already frustrate the hell out of me, and I’m not convinced they’re a “championship caliber” team yet. We’ll see I guess

Good thing I had to work tonight. So far, I’m not too impressed with Bowles as head coach. This team comes out so slow. Reminds me of the good ol days of the Yucks.

I could definitely see MLS expanding beyond 30 or 32.
Sacramento-if they get new owners and investors.
San Diego-Now that Snapdragon is open I think it can work at that venue.
Phoenix
Las Vegas- honestly I see Phoenix or Vegas.
Tampa
Louisville
San Antonio-Honestly I think both and them and Austin can work despite close distance.
Indianapolis
Louisville- Louisville honestly needs a major league club at this point. Soccer may be the best shot.
Detroit
Nope. That ship has sailed, caught fire, and sunk to the bottom of the Pacific already. Also, Sacramento as a city doesn’t deserve another pro sports franchise. They don’t deserve the one they currently have, actually.- 1

Sacramento Kings now have the longest playoff drought in the big 4 leagues. Last made the playoffs in 2006
Sorriest franchise in pro sports. They deserve this title.
Stoked for the M’s. I really hope they can beat the traffic guards and prevent us from having to see that particular mess go any further in the playoffs.

I know people have this weird thing agains “monochrome”, but the Bengals in black jerseys and pants with the striped helmets and orange socks is one of the best looking football uniforms I’ve ever seen. That has to be included because itlooks fantastic.
My GOODNESS does that look good.

The pants stripe makes perfect sense with the home road uniforms and the black numbers really help to balance the look...
...but I still think that the teal breezers with the home set is just too much. The black pants gives the the teal equipment a base *pop* off of in a way that the mono-teal look washes out; plus, it would allow them to keep the striping consistent throughout entire uniform by using a white/teal/white stripe on black.
The teal pants look FANTASTIC with the road jersey. And I kind of like the black pants with the home set, too. That being said, the all teal looks great.- 1

Speaking of hands, the way Tua’s hands looked make me gasp immediately. That’s an extremely serious head injury. I hope like hell he’s ok, but I’m very worried for him. I’ve seen that happen with skiers and snowboarders before, and I even knew one guy who had to relearn his motor functions it was so bad.

Wait, is that normal for colleges to have an open, unsecured stadium on campus like that? I remember Sun Devil Stadium having signs up letting people know that they would be arrested for entering the stadium when there wasn’t a game or field of play basically any time.
Edit, read Sport’s post after I posted: That’s wild, and also, really cool!

This is pretty much where I lost interest in baseball. And I just knew they were going to do that, as well. This sport has become such an absolute farce.
