  1. It should be noted that Penn was considered a part of major college football at that time, rather than being in a lower division. The Sun Belt is bringing back men's soccer with its new additions. They've also brought in South Carolina and Kentucky who were associate members in C-USA, and West Virginia who were with the MAC. I've been told this is a good soccer conference but I don't actually know. https://sunbeltsports.org/news/2022/4/6/sun-belt-conference-announces-return-of-mens-soccer-this-fall.aspx
  2. Vandy hitting us with bevels and gradients. Absolutely wild stuff. Too bad black is a school color, because adding BFBS would have been the holy trinity from hell.
  3. The yellow over black look is spectacular. I hate how many MLS teams default to mono looks.
  4. It would save us money if we weren't a bunch of weirdos who enjoy watching people exercise for points. As it is, I have to have cable, or a cable-like streaming platform like Youtube TV along with ESPN+ and more to get the sports crap I want. If I didn't care about sports I wouldn't have cable (which is still more expensive than streaming services and usually has a bunch of BS contracts and extra fees attached) and I'd have fewer subscriptions as well. I never turn my TV to the cable input unless I'm watching the wrestling or sports. It's truly a sickness.
  5. The Broncos and Seahawks had identical records last season at 7-10. The Broncos did it with Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock at QB.
  6. If they need a backup or to save cap room and are down for a high draft pick, he'd be a smart pickup. But I mean, Seattle has Drew Lock now, so why bother signing yet another bad QB?
  7. I'm fine with the Broncos just trying to bring in vets at QB to try and win immediately. Plus I don't trust them with drafting QB's after Tim Tebow, Brock Osweiler, Paxton Lynch and Drew Lock.
  8. Remember when Conference USA released a football schedule that included Marshall, Old Dominion, and Southern Miss, all schools that said they were leaving? The Sun Belt just released a schedule with the three of them. C-USA hasn't amended their schedule yet. They should probably get on that so schools and their fans can plan accordingly.
  9. I couldn't decide if I thought it was more MMA or more eSports. Either way, just the worst.
  10. The drama continues! C-USA is still claiming that they plan to have Marshall, Old Dominion, and Southern Miss for the 22-23 athletic year. They even released the upcoming football schedule with all three still on it. https://conferenceusa.com/news/2022/2/15/c-usa-announces-2022-football-schedule.aspx EDIT: Marshall says they're not going to play any of these games. This is all very silly.
  11. Looks like the amount they'll have to pay isn't a whole lot. Conference payouts are low, which is part of why everybody is so eager to leave, and damages for their piddly media deal likely aren't that much either. https://theathletic.com/news/sun-belt-bound-marshall-old-dominion-southern-miss-announce-plans-to-leave-conference-usa-on-june-30/EPNQzb3vH54Y/
  12. Marshall, Old Dominion, and Southern Miss have announced that they intend to leave C-USA for the Sun Belt early in June. C-USA had apparently been planning on releasing the upcoming football schedule in March, which would have included the three departing schools. Should be much drama ahead.
  13. What are you doing, Harsin? You don't give administrators get out of jail free cards like that. You gotta make them pay you millions to go away. That's the dream of being a college coach.
  14. Brian Kelly is the gift that keeps on giving. Debased himself just to lose out on recruiting the kid in the video with him.
  15. The Titans losing is one thing. I figured they would win because of their defense (which got a million sacks), but they're still the Titans. The Packers losing to these Niners is just wild. I assumed San Francisco would be on the ass side of an ass kicking here.
  16. Probably the most forgettable since the Kerry Collins-led '08 Titans that flamed out in their first game as well.
  17. This is more like the Houston Rockets with Harden. They were great, but mostly known for being annoying and never won anything important.
  18. Such is the cycle of sports. The Patriots winning their first Super Bowl was one of the greatest underdog stories of all time. Then they turned around and were contenders for two decades. And Tom Brady can still add more rings. Obviously that's an extreme version of this, but it's what happens every single time. I remember when the Warriors were a nice story.
  19. This ref sprints as fast as he can and shoves giants out of his way to try and save the Cowboys from their own stupidity, not understanding like a doctor in a medical drama that it's time to call it. And Cowboys fans want to complain as if it's that dude's fault that the people running their team don't understand how time works. They shouldn't. It's not their fault that clocks are an impossible mystery for people like Mike McCarthy.
  20. Anybody blaming the ref for Dak's boneheaded decision doesn't pay attention. If you had a clue you knew he wasn't getting that snap off in time. You can't even get set that fast in the damn video games. Get a grip. I keep hearing about all this talent that the Cowboys have and I've heard it for basically my entire life. Are we sure they're not just being grossly overrated because they're the most popular team?
  21. It was this. The Sun Belt is a football-centric conference. It took 20 years, but that's where we are now. I wish all the best to Little Rock on their future endeavors and hope Arkansas State still plays home-and-homes with them every year in basketball. I believe the Ohio Valley was the home that was suggested when LR was sort of kind of looking at football. Best wishes to them. But also I hate them. Just in a sports way though. Remember when the Sun Belt included Denver? I love the city of Denver, they even have my favorite NFL team, but boy did they not fit in with a conference of public schools in the south.
  22. ULM is weird. They've all but made that new ULM logo the primary. A new version of the bird head logo from the initial rebrand that simplifies it and changes the beak to athletic gold is still technically around, but the fauxback is on the helmets and at midcourt. What really bothers me is that their football field still has all of the old branding on it. Again, the old bird head is still part of their identity, but they're using an older version of it on the field. Even the university logo uses the fauxback. There aren't a lot of great field shots. Also keep in mind that the sideline trim is old gold and the logo used at the kickoff spot is also old gold. Even in this picture you can see the disconnect. It's maddening.
  23. The results were real bad. Little Rock football ain't happening.
