  1. C’mon Steelers, put up blue wall art around the field to make it look like Three Rivers.
  2. I like it, but I think I liked it more as a potential concept in my imagination (nothing against seasaltvanilla's work - thank you for the mockup). The plain white does seem to invoke the M&M vibe more than the red/white version.
  3. Has anyone done a white 80s-2000s M with a red underline? If not, can someone mock it up?
  4. I never assume that all the helmets are exactly the same. Obviously different players will have different facemasks. Many teams have had non-white helmets white facemasks (Chiefs, Giants, Jets, Broncos, Falcons, Vikings, et al) and I’ve never found this to be an issue
  5. Great to see the white facemask comeback...but having the stripes start above the bumper is bush league.
  6. The luxury tax literally goes to the smaller teams that aren't spending to the limit. The penalty is teams taking revenue dollars (in all likelihood) and giving it to other teams. The Marlins were notorious for raking in luxury tax dollars while fielding a nickel-and-dime team. It's almost as if there are multiple definitions of "sharing revenue". It's impossible to have a full revenue sharing system without a salary cap (which puts downward pressure on players salaries). The NBA's revenue sharing system only works because of the cap. A salary floor helps payroll parity but it creates its own inefficiencies as well.
  7. The luxury tax in baseball is revenue sharing and has incentivized rich teams like the Red Sox to have ads, as the extra revenue subsidizes the cost of the tax in revenues. “Oh we have to share more revenue??…well we should look for more revenue to offset it” is literally every solution to taxes in the universe. And we can complain about the owners greed but the players also agreed to these ads in the 2022 CBA because they’re just as greedy as well. They want that extra revenue in the game.
  8. I've never been a huge fan of the Bills looking like a poor man's version of the 80s Patriots. Bills belong in blue jerseys with white or red helmets.
  9. Probably a few new alternates plus more City Connects. I think the Twins were the only team to completely update their set.
  10. I love Hakeem as a player and he had great defensive stats...but defense is not what I remember him for, as I would for Wallace or Mutombo.
  11. Gobert has more Defensive Player of the Year awards (3) than Hakeem (2) and Gobert was elected to the All-Defensive First Team six times (in 9 seasons) compared to Hakeem's five (over 18 seasons). So maybe it's not as stupid as some people's poorly thought out edgy takes on a message board. Hell, Mutombo (who has the most) would be a better choice.
  12. Olajuwon as the DPOY? One could make the argument that Rudy Gobert has a stronger case than Hakeem.
  13. The “Santa suits” always looked great in December afternoon games at Sun Devil Stadium
  14. I don't have "prolix proleterian" in my bio.
  15. That's quite the corporate collection. Hopefully they're paying you to wear those logos.
  16. This section doesn't make much sense, considering you literally suggested the Bengals should wear orange jerseys hours before you wrote this. What do Cleveland's helmets have to with the Broncos and Buccaneers wearing orange?
  17. It’s essentially the 49ers but in brown and orange
  18. These were unveiled in August, and I missed them and didn't see them posted earlier, so just in case anyone else missed it: The Rockies' 30th Anniversary logo This looks to be the Marlins' 30th anniversary (though probably without the trophies):
  19. That’s a retail helmet sold six years ago, called the White Ice collection. https://gogts.net/riddell-introduces-nfl-alternate-ice-helmet-line/
  20. These people might be disappointed, but if total Oreo sales were on the up and up and thousands of people are wearing Swedish Fish Oreo T-shirts and Cherry Cola Oreo hats, there's no incentive for Oreo to shift the strategy. (Half of the days is a bit of a stretch too). So far, only like 20 people on this board are like "eliminate all the alternates" and in all honesty that's not probably not a real needle-mover for the NFL compared to the thousands of fans on Twitter and IG who respond to every new uniform with fire emojis.
  21. Of the first three, I like the second one best. Would one full-length orange tapered stripe work? Idk - like, a slight tweak to the current stripes, yet a nod to the design.
  22. The helmet has to have orange somewhere to disconnect the concept from anything Colts related.
