  1. Definitely looks like the sleeves have been photoshopped to try to hide any signs of the current piping design. But maybe I'm seeing things.
  2. That’s a metallic finish, not a plain gloss. Technically an alternate finish just like matte or satin. Look at Vikings helmets from the 90s, when they had a plain gloss helmet that didn’t match the jerseys, then talk to me. “YoU PuT WoRdS In My MoUtH” When did I put words into your mouth?? You said the Commanders' satin helmets won't match (which is a huge probelm) and that regular gloss helmets were fine...and then I asked if you'd rather have matte helmets, like the Vikings wear, that match the jersey nearly perfectly (as we see both in football and baseball) which is neither putting words into your mouth nor a strawman. Oh well. At least you admit the Vikings helmet looks pretty good now, although it's an alternative finish.
  3. Actually not bad with the Cardinals. Still needs pant stripes. The Oakley visor clip without the visor is pretty funny.
  4. For years, the Vikings gloss helmets didn’t match the jerseys. The matte finish finally matches the jersey color and for some you think that’s a problem. No need to be a silly jackass with more question marks than the Riddler. Me making a comment about helmet colors - when that was the entire reason of your original post - is not a strawman argument. You might want to check out that definition one more time.
  5. So you want all helmets to be matte like the Vikings, that match the jersey?
  6. With Cowboys camp in Oxnard, CA, the game against the Chargers isn’t really a difficult road game to prepare for. Cowboys brought both the white and navy jerseys to Denver.
  7. I dunno, I never liked orange numbers on black jerseys...just too Halloween-y. I think the green numbers are pretty cool. I liked the helmet stripes the Canes used on this helmet (2020? 2021?)...It would have been cool if the new helmets used this stripe but changed the green to the neon (and then used a black facemask)...or maybe if they had half of these stripes in orange and the other half in neon green.
  8. I like the UCF unis...I don't think they're a "woooooooooooo x 20" level, but they're nice enough. Kinda wish they decided on one black jersey.
  9. So they did it after he died, because who cares what he said when he was alive?
  10. This is one of those actions where I ask: Why didn't they do this when Bill was still alive?
  11. Sure seems like the originals had a bigger wordmark and bigger numbers. Might be the Nike template that has forced everything to be smaller.
  12. This turned out pretty sharp for Vanderbilt...we may also have gold and black helmets as well: I know helmet designs are making it tough for decal placement, but I'm not really a fan of the shrinking decals. Seems like a lot of helmets should have decals 10-20% bigger.
  13. It is quite weird they won't even wear it at home. Hoping a new alt helmet comes along in 2023.
  14. All of these are just awful except for the Sparky helmet. It's like they used a dartboard to pair the helmets and the jerseys/pants. By far the worst unis in the Pac12 (especially all the pitchfork helmets)
  15. Well at least the helmet has copper/gold stripes to match with the yellow and the khaki /sarcasm
  16. Maybe they can bring back an all-black hat for road games and make the white panel hat a Sunday hat.
  17. This is probably true, but it also likely means special event/anniversary patches will be smaller and simpler than usual.
  18. SMU's D-Dallas logo is still just an alternate look, much like a DFW hat for the Rangers could be with City Connect or something. SMU doesn't have a state in its name so it's still not quite apples-to-apples to the Texas Rangers. There's no rule in baseball that everything HAS to be about the city. We've seen it with Colorado, Florida, and Texas that non-city names work just fine.
  19. Baseball is usually city-centric, but this is like saying the Wisconsin Badgers should wear a M on their helmets because they’re only the University of Wisconsin-Madison and don’t represent the other colleges in the state. I don’t see a problem with the Texas Rangers wearing a T.
  20. They’ll fix this when the Yankees match their hat and jersey logo. Older teams can get away with not being matchy-matchy.
  21. 2019 NHL draft hats had street maps on the underbrim.
  22. Indiana has been wearing the 2021 throwback helmets (based on 90s design) but with regular IU logo in camp so far... could be something, but who knows...
  23. If that's not a change to their full time helmet, it should be.
  24. This argument is pretty empty without substantial data. What colleges are they targeting that would be a better investment? adidas doesn't show any financial stats or ROI stats with their NHL or MLS deals in their financial statements (nor colleges or endorsements), and I presume Nike doesn't either, so I'm not sure why anyone would talk assertively about this.
  25. About the same, so might as well post here if you know about the forums.
