  1. My guess is the top design with the Devils primary logo too. Just seems like it'd connect with the NJ fanbase more than a recolored KC Scouts jersey. And I believe we heard the Avs are going red-yellow-blue RR, so if that's the case, then it definitely wouldn't be the bottom one.
  2. Eagles announced a black helmet for 2022 a while ago but haven’t unveiled it. They chose a black helmet this year because they have a jersey they can immediately pair it with. From what has been implied, the kelly green helmet will replace the black helmet in 2023.
  3. The Seahawks and Buccaneers (and Eagles, Bills, and Broncos) throwbacks weren't in the style guide for years (whereas the Falcons, Patriots and Cowboys were), and they couldn't pair the throwback jerseys with a Color Rush helmet, like the Giants apparently were trying to do. I'd put more blame on a team like the Saints who completely f'ed up a good looking throwback look by adding a helmet that has nothing to do with the throwback jersey.
  4. The catch is he does his trolling at opportune times, when people are really itching for updates and leaks. He's usually here in March (just after the league year starts), maybe a post or two near the draft, and then in July just before camp. The "I was at a photoshoot you guys trust me" is one of the biggest red flags.
  5. FormerLurker, justpassingby, willforgetmylogin You guys...he's literally telling you a story. His next userID will either be Howdoyoudoamultiquotepost or Whatswithalltheads
  6. Every NFL jersey in the Nike era is subject to the 5 year rule, from what I understand. Teams can’t introduce new throwbacks every year.
  7. I think it’s a generational thing strong in nostalgia…if you grew up in the 80s with those Giants teams and remember the classic battles with the 49ers and Cowboys, and the number of MNF games with Frank, Al, and Dan, there’s probably a soft spot for these Giants unis. The mismatching helmets clearly aren’t a big deal to those that like this throwback.
  8. Ehhhhh The memo posted in this tweet has rules listed, and in it, they specify which jerseys are supposed to be worn with the alt helmets. But it’s looking like this original guidance may not be strictly enforced. We might a lot more unveils this week as all alt helmets have to be fitted during training camp at the same time as standard helmets.
  9. Doesn't Marshall use the Machine font in green and black too? nevermind I think the Herd moved away from Machine in 2022...but they, too, use green numbers and the white/black double outline. It's a nice look for North Texas...just seemed a bit familiar.
  10. Teams like the Giants and Rams wore navy helmets because Riddell only made navy blue (Rams, Giants, 80s Kansas, et al) or light blue (Broncos, Ole Miss, late 80s Tulsa, and maybe San Jose St) until regular royal blue helmets were manufactured in the early 90s for Kansas and the Ohio Glory of the WLAF.
  11. This is cool, but blue endzones with giant red letters outlined in white (like the turf at Giants Stadium) would have been cool too.
  12. When did the Rams match a royal blue helmet with a throwback jersey? These Giants unis are throwbacks, not brand new creations. If the Rams wore 70s-90s jersey, I'd want the true look with the navy helmet like they did it until 2019, not a fauxback.
  13. Giants may have had these jerseys in the works two years ago, to pair with the metallic royal helmet (two throwback unis just like the Dolphins), then got lucky with the alt helmet availability this year.
  14. I used to think the same thing...but decals are vinyl, and matte vinyl is a material that is sold. A number of college teams use matte decals (Purdue, Michigan State, the white Virginia helmet). The Panthers are the first NFL team to use a matte decal I think, though the Browns' carbon fiber stripes might have been matte. NASCAR teams like Kurt Busch and Truex used matte vinyl wraps when they drive matte finished cars. See how the decal isn't glossy/shiny at all?
  15. I think the decal is matte black...you can tell it's not quite the same shade/finish between the two; if it was clear I think it'd be a bit more seamless. The Broncos suffer from this same thing...the blue areas on the Broncos' decals are not clear but should be.
  16. This is my biggest critique too...should have made the decal clear except for the blue parts, and let the black helmet do its work. The helmet needs more silver. The blue-only stripes seem pretty basic, like the team just went for the lowest-hanging fruit.
  17. Hahahaha hey @willforgetmylogin this is a helmet for a HS team called the Grandview Zebras, and they wore it from 2008 to 2010. https://lonestargridiron.com/mini-helmets/Grandview-Zebras-HS-2008-to-2010-TX-mini-helmet-p140903570 I want in on that $1000 bet you mentioned earlier.
  18. I think the window to change is smaller in the NBA. 5 years is an NFL guideline, I think. The Jazz will change in what, one or two years?
  19. Can you leak the white Saints helmet that you said was going to happen? All of your out-there predictions about uniforms that hadn't been verified have been false...so you have that going for you. But sure, you're telling the truth and every other media site (including the Bengals and the NFL) are full of it. Sure buddy.
  20. Canzman's 9 looks exactly like Justin Tucker's. The 9 and 6 don't come to a point in real life.
  21. Would look significantly better with a single regular gold helmet stripe instead of the train tracks.
  22. Has to be a problem with the league's files, doesn't it?
  23. Dodger Stadium seat colors x LA city flag?
  24. Would the 1994 jerseys (10-6) count in that? Different color numbers, different pants stripes. Jerseys were generally the same (blue with Elvis on the sleeves).
