  1. So since the size and population of the city of Anaheim ruins your argument, it's now beside the point. Got it. Again, Anaheim Ducks sounds far better than Los Angeles Ducks, and No OnE ObJeCts. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say "I wish the team that played in Ebbets Field was called the New York Dodgers".
  2. Anaheim has a bigger population than Cincinnati, St Louis, and Pittsburgh and isn't too far behind Oakland. Would Orange County Angels be more "fit" for MLB? If a city name like Anaheim can do just fine in another major professional sport, why can't it work for baseball? The Los Angeles Angels PCL team didn't play in Anaheim. They played in Los Angeles County. And saying "We must consider nonsense any complaints about the team claiming the state" is just a terrible argument. I'm not considering those complaints nonsense. They're incredibly valid...I'm sorry you have don't have a counterargument against those complaints otherwise you wouldn't write them off as if you were some arbiter.
  3. What makes it unfit? Seems like if it was unfit for Major League Baseball, the Commissioner of Baseball would have prevented it from happening.
  4. Is this the photoshoot you were at where Russell and everyone else were wearing navy blue jerseys??? No no no no wait....you must have been at this photoshoot where everyone was wearing navy blue jerseys: And I especially love you how read this one article and you're pretending you've seen new uniform proposals. https://broncoswire.usatoday.com/2022/06/09/will-the-denver-broncos-get-new-uniforms-new-owner-rob-walton/
  5. This rule has been stated many times as fact, but in reality the ability to wear throwbacks is pretty arbitrary. The Warriors had throwbacks for four of the last five years. The Pacers wore Hoosiers throwbacks for several years in a row despite having zero championships. When teams have 17 championships like the Lakers and the Celtics, the rule pretty much allows them to have a throwback every year, doesn't it?
  6. Pretty sure this is Casey's source: https://news.sportslogos.net/2022/02/22/leak-nearly-40-new-2022-23-nba-uniforms-leaked-city-statement-classic-editions/basketball/
  7. Royal blue would have been a better choice for this presentation; AFA sometimes uses navy as a tertiary color (likely tying into the navy dress blues), but the athletics department rarely uses it. Odd choice.
  8. Well this sucks, but perhaps it was supply chain (seems unlikely) or perhaps it was due to the new Classic looking too familiar to the new jerseys, and they put the new jerseys off a year. Though I'm interested in the new Statement jersey - that's not a Valley jersey, correct? In the leaks article on the mothership, the new City was jade/turquoise. Didn't see a new Statement for the Suns.
  9. The only problem with this particular set was the striping was different on the shoulders (thin white stripes) and the pants (thick white stripes). If they had made them more similar, it would have looked better. The Marshall Faulk unis are an iconic look for SDSU...wish they'd just use that look (modernize for templates) full time.
  10. If they wanted blue in the batterman logo, pretty sure they would have went with their regular blue, white, red batterman. I kinda like the two-toned red logo as the darker red is found nowhere else outside the beveling of their main look.
  11. If Georgia were to ever go with white jerseys/white pants on the road, a silver helmet (instead of white) with the red/white/black stripes would probably look pretty cool.

  13. I would disagree about the wordmark being disjointed. On its own, it's a pretty nice wordmark. It looks good on t-shirts. If the Cavs were an expansion team in 2022 and this was the wordmark, I think it'd get a lot of positive reviews. I think only when we realize that it uses elements from three different eras do we believe it must be "disjointed".
  14. Weren't the Seahawks throwback confirmed for 2023? Maybe I'm misremembering. For 2022 Alternate helmets, retailers are planning for Cardinals, Panthers, Bears, Texans, Saints, Eagles, and maybe Jets helmets to drop this summer.
  15. The alternate color helmet will be paired with the throwback is how I read it. “Or” is the main word. Even if they replace all the decals and pair it with the gradient alternate (which would give the team three helmet designs)…that’s what, one or two games?
  16. From what i understand, alt helmets can’t be used for more than one uniform set. Can’t change up throwback helmets and make them modern.
  17. With Broncos OTA work going on this week, it's definitely clear and 100% without a doubt and don't ask me how I know this and trust me I just know, from a photo shoot that I was at even though I know nothing about photography or football, that the Broncos will switch from orange to navy this year. /heavysarcasm
  18. I don't think it'll be the 1980s throwbacks, as seemingly all throwbacks not in the 2021 style guide will be unveiled in 2023. I'm guessing it's the 1960s helmet, paired with the current throwback look yet again.
  19. Looks like the roundel patch says Los Angeles Angels, and if so, somewhat of an interesting direction for a team that brands everything else as “Angels Baseball”. Also, look how awful those brims are. New Era just churns out cheaper and cheaper :censored:.
  20. I like them. Very local. Hats look like they belong in a Colorado Store ( https://thecoloradostore.co/) or a local mountain gift shop. Number font is the only thing that looks off...it's pretty clunky for a baseball jersey.
  21. Larry Walker, Ken Griffey Jr, and Paul O’Neill were on steroids??
  22. If they do rebrand, it may not be for a few years. Nike will probably want the green and purple to exclusively be on City Connect for a couple of years until the novelty wears off. Rockies have a 30th anniversary next year, so they might do something new in 2023, but who knows.
  23. Solid work. I think one small improvement would be black/white/black stripes on the helmet (with either a white or black facemask). Black/white/black stripes would complement the logo and numbers pretty well, and be somewhat of a throwback look to the 80s/90s unis (granted Rutgers wasn't good back then but I still thought they had a decent collegiate look).
