  1. I think the Patriots ProShop confirmed this a few weeks ago...will be the only new alt helmet-throwback uni in 2022.
  2. This would be a lot better with a symmetrical-serifed base on the F. The extra wide serif on the right side makes it look more like an E.
  3. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/33690179/mlb-giving-roberto-clemente-award-winners-new-patch-caps-helmets-sources-say
  4. They may still yet do a Weagle on a RR jersey in the future, but it would have to be in the blue/black/alt scheme. If you're looking for a weagle jersey in red/white/blue, then it's just a normal alternate.
  5. Lol quite a few of the recent huge investments in Fanatics are from the leagues themselves. Fanatics isn’t getting kicked to the curb anytime in the next few decades. https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2022/04/06/nfl-mlb-players-unions-lead-latest-investment-in-fanatics.html
  6. Lucas Daitchman @ldconceptssays a black Screamin’ Eagle jersey will be the Caps’ RR jersey. These will probably sell out fairly quickly in the area https://russianmachineneverbreaks.com/2022/04/17/rumor-capitals-to-rock-screaming-eagle-jerseys-in-black-for-next-seasons-reverse-retro-revival/
  7. I don't think the Dodgers have any memorial patches on the right sleeve this year. Last year they did but not this year. Either the All Star Patch or the Dodger Stadium patch would have looked great...not sure why they went with the blank sleeve.
  8. So Reverse Retro for the Winter Classic? Doesn't the WC try to be more vintage than the 80s/90s?
  9. A 200 foot hockey rink would be dwarfed by the massive size of Daytona. The stands at Daytona are like 1/2-3/4 mile long.
  10. Coors Field already had a Stadium Series game in 2016. And it's hard to play a hockey game outside when it's 70 degrees in Tampa or South Florida. Dallas and Nashville have complete different winter climates than Florida.
  11. I just did that Google search, and you picked the one skyline photo that didn't look like any of the other search images lol. Not a huge fan of the Ducks concept (would be helped by using orange, and the actual old-timey Disneyland font would probably look better than the free/pirated Disney font that's on every tourist group's -t-shirt), but the Coyotes one is pretty nice.
  12. When you were a kid, did you think Cleveland, Seattle, Minnesota, Atlanta, and St Louis (and even California) wore black? If not, why did they appear more navy than Yankees/Tigers even though they wore the same shade?
  13. The Rays made that design their full time alternate this year. The light blue jersey with "Rays" has been replaced. The Cubs wore their blue jerseys against the Pirates yesterday. The Brewers wore their navy alts on Opening Day in Chicago. Nats wore their red alternates yesterday. Also, the Guardians and Royals wore their alt jerseys on Monday.
  14. Pretty sure having an outdoor game in the Horseshoe with 100,000 people would be financially viable. If the Carolina Hurricanes can get an outdoor game, there's no reason the Blue Jackets can't get one.
  15. Brewers, Rays, Cubs, Reds, Nationals have worn alternate jerseys. All City Connect jerseys are full time alternates for the next couple of years.
  16. Really? The Yankees...Red Sox...Tigers...none of those look good with navy?
  17. I've long thought a sky blue/navy/lime green/yellow look could work. Just warm colors that tie-in to Florida with a bit of navy for balance; I guess that color palette would be close to the current gradient unis, but I'd prefer less navy. Will be interesting to see what they do for City Connect next year. ------ Watching highlights, did the Tigers switch back to plain gloss helmets? They wore helmets with metallic paint for a long time.
  18. Fanatics owns the old Majestic plant that’s still making baseball jerseys but now with the Nike logo on them.
  19. I think this might be a gray-scale photo. The Batterman on a Genuine Merchandise tag (usually the replica notation unless it changed under Nike) is usually the normal blue/white/red, whereas here's it's color-less. Could be wrong...a silver surfboard with a silver halo would still make sense. Gray-scale would also explain why the jersey looks so white while it's reportedly cream. I'm guessing car culture/nostalgia will be a big theme...the upside-down board as only it would appear on a vehicle, LA/OC's famous car culture, even Disney's Cars Land. With that said, if the wordmark is just "Angels", then it seems like their inspiration could be license plates...wherein I think they use the 80s plate font (Bellerose) if the jersey is cream...or, if the jersey is white, they use Rage Italic (though "Angels" in that font doesn't look great).
  20. That should have been their BP hat (at the very least) since the 2010s change. I like that look than the rather boring look they have now.
  21. That old flaired font looks to be the same font the Padres wore in the 2000s. Not sure why the Braves wore that.
  22. The Cubs have the 80s bear logo mowed into centerfield...just bring it back already. The charm of that nostalgia outweighs any benefit of the walking bear logo. Plus Nike could sell more home jerseys.
  23. The top part of the star wouldn't have a vertical stroke...right? it'd be more A shaped. (though the 90's star had that italicized look and thus had a vertical stroke...so who knows)
  24. A couple of reputable online shops that sell retail helmets have pre-orders for all of those teams except the Jets and Browns.
  25. It's pretty clear that it's this photoshop (the white/red/blue spots above his right arm next to his helmet are a dead giveaway). Ciara was wearing throwback gear when Russell and she visited a Denver hospital before the trade was official...I think they both like the Orange Crush look.
