  1. I love those uniforms. Totally due to nostalgia.
  2. I'm more or less amazed that teams are sticking with Color Rush socks considering there's no requirement for them to do so. The Giants could wear blue socks (or bring back 80s style socks) with the 80s throwback.
  3. Vaguely looks like a new set of white pants with three red stripes.
  4. I think an issue with this release date (for the Packers org, anyway) is that Madden will be available a few days prior to EA Play members...if the throwback is unlocked in the game, it'll be leaked before the reveal.
  5. They’ve had historic logos on sideline hats for the last three or four years. Buccaneers 2020 Sideline Hat Buccaneers 2018 Sideline Hat
  6. Jerseys from 2003-2015 era that are worse then that Flames set: The navy Buffalo set The apron Avs The blah Edge template sets for the Flyers, Senators, Penguins, Islanders The t-shirt Predators The navy checkerboard Predators The mooterus The Buffaslug The tiny full script Ducks set in black, orange, and gold The chrome Flyers The navy Blues jersey, along with the Edge arch piping The black and gold DALLAS jersey with numbers The black Islanders alternate Any jersey with front numbers
  7. Other than the shoulder patch placement (though most shoulder patches are higher towards the neck line in the adidas era)...it looks pretty good.
  8. On the 2021 sideline attire front, New Era released all the sideline hats this week and they're using this alternate logo for the Ravens, which does look better as a hat logo than the regular helmet logo. It's kind of reminiscent of the 90s Hawks and Timberwolves logos and current Grizzlies front-facing mark, but I sort of wish they'd use it more:
  9. I thought the current set was great in 2007...it was new, it went back to red/white/blue, and the weagle logo is pretty cool, especially on the away jersey (IMO). But it hasn't been a timeless look, and I wish they'd rethink the striping. I'm a huge fan of the RR and I have a new appreciation for that look especially in red and navy.
  10. Yeah I agree - there were a lot of ugly jerseys released between 2003-2015. This Flames jersey falls in the middle of that ugly group.
  11. Just for clarity - current retail classics will continue to be made in addition to the new ones, correct? It's not a new set phasing out the old set...
  12. Kings have really had a lot of jerseys the last few years; home/road, gray alt, white 90s, RR, AFA Stadium Series, now a new alt and classic.
  13. Not sure if anyone could have predicted 2020 with high confidence.
  14. Washington Dreamers might work, though it might be a bit too wispy, a bit too abstract for football. Would describe a lot of people and events in this town, as well as the jackasses that are half-asleep and drive 40mph on the beltway.
  15. Snyder was dead set on keeping the name until he got the call from FedEx and other corporations.
  16. They were never going to change back to the old name., much like how Cleveland will never go back it its old name, no matter the backlash. Washington's bland placeholder name was due specifically to a lack of time in creating a good brand between June 2020 and September 2020.
  17. He said he's looking forward to adding new classics "depending on colors and all that wonderful stuff" which doesn't automatically mean RRs in my view; he could be worried about colors in his collection (and collectors are aware of their color distribution). He could be thinking about home/away colors (though if he saw the listing he'd probably know).
  18. Yeah around the 2:55 mark he does talk about more coming this year and adding them to the collection.
  19. You called it - the legit jersey is far better than the fake one that was "leaked".
  20. The Kraken and Coyotes hats are pretty cool. Seems to kill the rumor that Boston is switching to 80s/90s set full time (at least for now), as the old set had a different striping pattern on the white jersey.
  21. Interesting, and it changes my thought process a little bit. Were they absolute no's or was it a preference ranking? It seems odd that if a team had five choices that four would be "absolutely not, never, nowhere, no thanks"
  22. Again, I disagree, especially when you said the barrel was dry on the “first go-around”, when it clearly isn’t. There are still quite a few ideas for every team available…even for the Leafs and Red Wings…and if your biggest concern is “Well that’d just be an alternate jersey” then I’m ok with that. The program is literally taking old jerseys and changing the colors or vice versa, or sometimes a mix. Thinking that it has to break some “new ground” every time in the alternate jersey space is just wishful thinking. Just because you wouldn’t like a yellow 80s jersey or a black 90s pedestal or a red 2000s Blasty jersey or a white or black 2010s “Calgary” jersey doesn’t mean no one will. The Panthers could have a red version of the double blue jersey, or a navy version of the current jersey with old colors and people would still buy it. Do I think teams like the Devils, Golden Knights, and the Islanders have a tough road ahead? Sure, but by no means was adidas “scraping the bottom of the barrel already during the first go-around.” And to argue that “the worst possible things” does not mean (or has nothing to do with) low quality is just a really odd take. Bottom of the barrel is low quality oil…the crud
