  1. Those are Fanatics tags on that Sabres jersey though. And although Fanatics has bumped up its vintage line somewhat, the Sabres jersey is a modern template, unlike the others in the vintage line.
  2. I realize that's just a mockup...but it does look better without the white outline that was on the original version. Also, it looks like the mockup has the horn shading reversed.
  3. Perhaps...but the NHL is clearly aware that 80s/90s designs are in peak demand.
  4. Riddell released a line of full size authentic and replica throwback Speed helmets in October/November. Not saying the Cowboys white helmet won’t be worn, but this line of consumer throwbacks had been planned before the one helmet announcement.
  5. I really hope all the logos aren’t just filled in as the same color as the hats with an outline. That Nats hat would look better with a white capitol or a W. A couple people on here last year said the ‘22 ST hats would be mesh, and they were right.
  6. You could be right...but I have a feeling 2023 will be the year the Dolphins make a change. I think the 2018 changes reset the clock.
  7. 2022 is season #5 of the current design (designed, IIRC by a guy that used to be on here a bit and did graphic design work for the team)
  8. New alternate hat for the Diamondbacks: https://www.mlbshop.com/arizona-diamondbacks/mens-arizona-diamondbacks-new-era-red-on-field-alternate-authentic-collection-59fifty-fitted-hat/t-36881815+p-2651145275085+z-9-43109437?_ref=p-SRP:m-GRID:i-r0c1:po-1
  9. The players’ union agreed (or better said, didn’t fight back against) a proposal to allow ad patches on uniforms today. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/33059512/sources-mlb-makes-first-labor-proposal-lockout-awaits-union-counter
  10. The Steelers' yellow jerseys always looked cool in training camp, but maybe it's just an alternate/clash effect.
  11. Penguins don't need the top yellow stripe on their socks. Should just be white/black/yellow stripes. You can kinda see it here:
  12. NC State is using a front-facing wolf logo for its 30-minute Athletics cable TV show "Wolfpack Hustle". Don't know if it will get more use in coming years or not...
  13. This is fantastic and I'd wish they'd go with something like this. My only critique would be to use the italicized baseline font they used in the 90s/2000s.
  14. Every other team can sell player merchandise during the lockout. Fanatics hasn't stopped selling player merchandise in the last month or so. Lids/Fanatics is selling Nike Guardians players shirseys
  15. Madden 22 just added early 80s Saints uniforms (gold/black/white and gold/white/black) but the issue is the sleeves...because the 80s uniforms had numbers above the stripes on the sleeves, Madden tried to recreate it, but the sleeve numbers are place directly on top of the stripes. Wish they added the late 80s/90s unis with the numbers on the shoulders and the Louisiana logo on the sleeves.
  16. I really liked the Disney set, but moreso out of nostalgia I think. The set reminds me of the best days of SportsCenter and the peak of sports magazines and catalogs. The gray set always looked better than the white set, IMO, for whatever reason. The faux vests were bad, the wordmark’s drop shadow wasn’t great, the pinstripes probably weren’t necessary, and the logo could definitely be improved a little (maybe just use a wing and get rid of the whizzing baseball). The number font was unique and pretty fantastic though (I liked the two color treatment on the front and three color number on the back. I liked the all navy cap with the light blue button. In the end though, I can’t say it was better than the CA set before it or the red-A set after it.
  17. I appreciate all the updates that the mothership has made this year. It's always fun to see the updates. There was a great update to the Angels history, but there's an error for Anaheim hats that's been there a while - the 97-2001 hat needs a light blue sqautchee/button, and the alternate hat with the light blue brim and red squatchee/button needs to be added to the site.
  18. 2008? I don't think so. The picture in the article below shows a drop shadow. https://www.yardbarker.com/mlb/articles/the_2015_kansas_city_royals_quiz/s1__20359588 The mothership shows the drop shadow being eliminated for the 2019 season, so I was mistaken about the change happening for 2022.
  19. New road uni, two new alts. Sleeve piping is now thick stripe. And I think the sleeve patches no longer have the black drop shadow that had been around forever. The powder blue jersey is really cool.
  20. Royals' social media team knows all the photoshop tricks that plagued unveilings in the past: https://fox4kc.com/sports/royals/spoiler-alert-kansas-city-royals-leave-hidden-message-in-new-uniform-tease/
  21. With so few changes in 2021, I'd expect to see several changes for 2022. Nike's rolling out a new template as well. Some might be unveiled in February (which would seem odd as it would miss holidays but maybe it takes advantage of the ST surge after football season). Interested to see what the Royals unveil on Friday.
  22. Cincinnati needs a refresh that just uses red and white
  23. This is fantastic but I think I'd take "San Diego" off the center court logo and enlarge the Clippers script.
