  1. Couple more Canadian Premier League teams unveiled new kits over the past few days. Valour FC Primary Secondary Forge FC Primary Secondary
  2. It was linked above, but I'm posting the YouTube video that Avery Dennison produced on its own for visibility. It's really quite fascinating if you're into typography and design (which, I mean, you probably are if you're a CCSLC member):
  3. Or just have the ref wear black. It's still in the ref's rotation, and wouldn't clash as badly with Austin as the other options.
  4. New fourth kit for Celtic FC that celebrates the club's Irish roots: No mention in the announcement on if/when they'll wear them in a match.
  5. Here are the 2023 kits for Halifax Wanderers FC of the Canadian Premier League: The club motto "Together From Aways" is embossed across the front and sleeves of the alternate kit. And the multicolor mosaic pattern — which "brings attention to the cultural mosaic of Halifax" — is also used for the names and numbers on the back.
  6. Go home, Under Armour, you're drunk.
  7. ABSOLUTE SCENES at the Emirates as Reiss Nelson scores with the last kick of the game to complete Arsenal's comeback against Bournemouth!
  8. Manchester City with a limited edition kit for International Women's Day. The green and purple come from badges and rosettes worn by British Suffragettes in the early 1900s. City's women's team will wear them in a match against Spurs on Sunday, and the men's team will wear them for warmups before their match against Newcastle on Saturday.
  9. Alright, that's enough of that. Let's keep it on topic and civil. If it's not about the Rays or A's stadium situations, don't post it.
  10. I was surprised the extension was for that long. But I looked it up and Pastrnak is only 26. Feels like he's been around the league way longer.
  11. San Jose officially unveils their primary -- no surprises compared to the leaks:
  12. Inter Miami confirm this year's worst-kept secret:
  13. New "Coal and Steel" special edition kits for Borussia Dortmund, which they'll wear Sunday. Black kit with a charcoal pattern, and names and numbers on back have a metallic grey "steel look" with a map of Dortmund incorporated. Other appliques (crest, sponsor logos, etc.) are black with a glossy finish.
  14. Galaxy secondary unveiled, confirming the earlier leak:
  15. Only miss for me is Austin. And that's not even necessarily about the different striping patterns. It's more about the white Adidas shoulder stripes and side/hem stripes that throw it off kilter for me.
  16. The more I look at it, the more I'm reminded of Japan's away kit from the World Cup. Same sort of colour scheme and geometric patterns, if not the offset colours. Yeah, it's really growing on me.
  17. Re: a new red home kit for Chicago, since it has been brought up -- this is the info I had when I wrote about the new crest for the mothership back in June 2021:
  18. Chicago Fire secondary: At first glance, I wasn't sure about it. But it's growing on me.
  19. Dallas, DC, SKC, Galaxy and RSL all scheduled for tomorrow. Others could pop up as well.
  20. By my count, there are at least nine kits being revealed tomorrow. That's how many had posted reveal dates as of the last time I went through MLS Twitter accounts earlier this morning. Atlanta United Austin FC Charlotte FC FC Cincinnati Colorado Rapids Columbus Crew SC Houston Dynamo SC New York City FC Seattle Sounders FC New England Revolution EDIT: Make that 10.
  21. A few more that popped up in the last little while: RB Leipzig special edition kit — inspired by a "Leipzig on Fire" stadium chant to the tune of "Freed From Desire" by GALA — 30 Euros from each shirt sold will go to charities helping people affected by earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria: Lille OSC fourth kit — inspired by textile industry in Northern France: VfL Wolfsburg third kit: US Salernitana 1919 Valentine's Day kit: Schalke 04 special edition home kit with sponsor logo replaced by anti-racism/anti-discrimination hashtag:
  22. Customization options for the new Jamaica kits are now available on Adidas's UK website, and they show a custom number font similar to that in the Wales Bonner logo.
  23. I think the lack of social media and a 24-7 news cycle during Jordan's era plays into that. Had we all had cellphones with video cameras and unchecked platforms on which to post the videos we took with them in the 90s, there would probably be as many videos of Jordan behaving badly at casinos or nightclubs as we do of LeBron at, as @Sport mentioned, his sons' AAU games. Jordan wouldn't have gotten as many passes as he did and wouldn't have been able to build a mystique because the evidence would have been front and center, played ad nauseum on cable news and dissected by their commentators and analysts.
