  1. I guess this counts: Here are two Cameroon World Cup 2022 jerseys that Le Coq Sportif produced and is selling on their website, but the team won't wear in the tournament because the national federation unilaterally ended the contract over the summer and signed with One All Sports. Here's a writeup on the situation I did for the mothership.
  2. BTW, I have a World Cup kit tracker going over on the mothership, same as I did for Euro 2020, in case anyone is interested.
  3. [citation needed] Seriously, though, you might be right about the pants, but I'm very skeptical about the jersey claim since the jersey schedule the Broncos released at the start of the season shows them wearing white this week: https://www.instagram.com/p/CiA3LdnPUV8/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY%3D
  4. Noting that the replica City kit up on MLSStore.com has no yellow trim on the collar and no trim at all on the sleeve cuffs, plus no yellow taping down the sides/across the back hem and no blue side panels. Yellow trim on the hem goes all the way around instead of just across the back. Authentic: Replica: I mean, poor quality replicas are nothing new, but this feels really egregious.

  6. The forums and the comments on the mothership are two separate things. You don't have to use the same username for both if you don't want to.
  7. FIFA has blocked Denmark's plans to wear a human rights message in place of sponsor logos on their training kits during the World Cup.
  8. Here's the winner in the Aston Villa crest vote, with 77% of the votes cast:
  9. Aston Villa has narrowed the options for its new crest down to two and is putting them to a fan vote:
  10. Alright, ENOUGH. @ripall90 @Sport -- drop this argument NOW. Clearly the two of you have differing opinions on football uniforms and neither of you is going to change the other's mind. It's pulling the thread too far away from its intended purpose of sharing news about uniform changes as they come up, and it's frankly a headache for the mods to have to keep tabs on this thread to make sure it's not getting out of control. To all: Opinions will come up, and you're free to disagree with them, but do it in a respectful manner, and know when to say when. You don't need to constantly debate each others' opinions, especially when it's clear there's a gulf that won't be overcome. Agree to disagree and move on. It might also behoove some folks is this thread to remember that these are opinions being stated and not hard-and-fast rules, despite some of the language being used to express said opinions. Any subjective statement in these threads should be read with "In my opinion ..." in front of it. Trust me, you'll enjoy things much more that way. Any further derailment of the thread will result in suspensions.
  11. The CPL is technically the top tier of the football pyramid in Canada, despite the Canadian clubs in MLS (which is sanctioned by the US Soccer Federation). As far as the level of play, though, yeah, I think the USL Championship is a fair comparison.
  12. BONKERSNESS for Atletico Madrid in their CL match against Bayer Leverkusen today: Penalty in stoppage time Need a goal to stay in contention for a place in the knockout round Penalty saved Rebound headed off the crossbar Second rebound deflected into the stands
  13. Trademark filings are always done in black and white or greyscale. The red could be more prominent than the Instagram post suggests.
  14. A reporter for the Abbotsford News found the logos for the new Canadian Premier League team in Vancouver (well, Langley to be precise) in the Canadian Trademark Database: The club also posted an image with "NOV. 2" to their Instagram Stories yesterday that might give a hint to the colour scheme:
  15. Sorry, that's my bad. Some quotes got messed up in that exchange. Still, for everyone in this thread, knock it off with the name calling.
  16. mod self-edit -- some quotes got messed up
  17. Broadcasters managed with no sleeve numbers on the left sleeve of this jersey ... ... so they'll be OK.
  18. Again, those are two different things. Teams are getting the revenue the jersey ads, while TV networks are getting the revenue from the digital board ads. One wouldn't really affect the other.
  19. "Sneak peeks" today, official unveilings tomorrow.
  20. As noted in the forum FAQs, new members can only start a topic after you've posted three replies in other threads around the boards. It cuts down on spambot activity.
