I'm surprised to see that the NCAA D1 women's finals are being held at the soccer complex in Cary, NC. I was under the impression they had a hard stance against other sports being played there.

What's the deal with the 2 week long gap between the Columbus and Minnesota dates? Plus an off week between the semifinals and championship? Not to mention an unnecessary all-star weekend. PLL could realistically complete it's season 4 weeks earlier than it's schedule to. I feel they need to do everything possible to avoid scheduling against the two behemoths that are college football and the NFL in late August/early September.

Likely depends on how well the Commanders do this coming season. The better the Commanders do the worse it could be for the Defenders.

DC United had a home game that started at 7:30 tonight, that wouldn't have been doable tonight if those were the rules in place.

Week 1 we're getting Arizona at Washington. I'm just gonna make the assumption Washington will wear one of the white jersey combinations to start the season.

And what's the fascination some people have with many of the stadiums looking similar to each other? So what! When I tune in to TV to watch an MLS match I'm not looking at the ing architecture of the stadium around the field of play.

I've seen many comments on facebook about NYCFC's new stadium with people saying the stadium is too small. I get that to an extent. But some people are legit saying they should have a 40-50K capacity stadium. It would be reasonable if they were saying 30K, but I don't understand justification of a club that averages under 20K at a 46K baseball stadium having a 40K soccer stadium. Is it because it's New York City some people think they should have a big stadium just because?

I'm a DC United fan, but I could probably be persuaded to take the trip to catch an NYCFC match at their new stadium once it's open.

Not going the hog/pig route with the new name was a bonehead move by the Snyder administration. That's the only way they should have went after the old name was retired. Redtails, Redwolves or any other name should not have even been entertained. The club had a secondary identity in Hogs for decades that could have easily been adopted but nope, Snyder's gonna snyde. Then they thought a military worship theme would win over the diehards that didn't want the name to change, but it didn't. To add insult to incompetence they trotted out the lamest possible hog mascot in Major Tuddy. They could have at least attempted to make Tuddy look tough. He looks like a concept design of Hamton J. Pig from Tiny Toons in a Gibbs era uniform for crying out loud.

Kind of odd they did not include a silver line seeing how there is now a metro station in Ashburn, VA.

I could do without the stripe on the foreheads (I'm fully aware my avatar has the same thing going on. I dislike it there too), but either dog on left side is a winner in my book. The center and top right dogs look like one of the designs you'd see at a tattoo parlor. Trying way too hard for an aggressive logo with those two. Just not feeling the one on the bottom right at all

Exactly how many D1 men's lacrosse programs are there in the western states? Are they at a point where they could form their own lacrosse only conference? It's weird as hell seeing teams from the Rocky Mountains in east coast conferences. What's the magic number of programs needed for a western lacrosse conference to be doable?

If Nike brings back that shade of brown for Cleveland they can use all unnecessary Nikespeak they want. The current shade of brown looks like a dark gray at times.
