Tulane looks pretty sharp tonight (ESPN). They just need to ditch the metallic finish decals and face masks. I've mentioned it before, but that finish makes the green on the decals and masks appear to a significantly lighter shade of green than the numbers and stripes on their uniforms. Closer to kelly green than the forest green it's supposed to be. Not a fan of the cartoon angry wave logo, but don't hate it. The T wave lol would have looked better IMO. Also: Never been a fan of UNC having white helmets or navy blue uniforms.

Seems like it would have been easier to go without names on the back of the jerseys for week 1. Truth be told, names on the back of jerseys is one of those unnecessary things in sports we've been trained to accept.

Maybe those personal UCF crests should go on back of the helmets. Sorta like how Fresno State has the green V San Joaquin Valley decals. Does Fresno even still have green V decals?

Today with was the first time I noticed players wearing zero. Looks better with certain number fonts than others. So far I've only seen skill position players wearing it. Waiting to see a big 300 plus lb defensive tackle where zero lol I can accept single zero being a jersey number, but I can never accept double zero when I see it in sports. I see no point in the number zero being represented with two digits. At the end of the day, 0+0=0. Double zero is a mascot jersey number to me SN: When did Louisiana-Lafayette start going by just "Louisiana"?

Tulane's helmet decals kinda throw the set off. The metallic finish makes the decals appear to be different shades of green and blue than what's on the uniforms. The jerseys are clearly dark forest green while the decals look closer to bright kelly green.

There's always been something I've liked about Florida State's helmets on the first game of the season. Nice and clean without any tomahawk pride stickers added yet. Not saying I dislike the tomahawks, but FSU's helmets always stood out to me in week 1. With that said, I never liked the look of a blank week 1 Ohio State helmet

Here I am watching UT-San Antonio vs Texas State. Both team wear Adidas. Their jersey numbers look tiny compared to Charlotte's. BTW. UTSA in all white vs TX State in gold/maroon/gold. Not a fan of all white, but it's a good looking game. In double overtime right too.

I've only been aware of Marshall University football since about 1996-ish. One could argue that what you've described has been their established look for decades now. Granted in recent years they've strayed some, but it's been their look nonetheless. When I think of Marshall Thundering Herd football this is the look that comes to mind. I personally think that should be their look until the end of time. Although I must admit, I did like the green helmets they briefly wore

Off Topic: Was Texas State's stadium that big when they were in FCS? Or have they expanded it since moving up?

Always like the shadow outlines on the numbers of those UNC jerseys.

Doesn't the CAA have facility requirements for it's members? If so, no way in hell Delaware State winds up there. Their current football and basketball facilities are no where near on par with a University of Delaware or James Madison. IMHO Delaware State should consider Division 2 if/when the MEAC truly implodes. I don't think any other D1 conferences will want to bring them in (honestly don't know why so many people think the NEC wants them), and I don't think their administration cares enough about it's athletics to invest any more into it than they have been.

I know it's not part of their official uniform, but I'd kinda like to see the Guardians wear red socks with the Blk/Gry/Blk combo

If the XFL last long enough that teams can eventually change their uniforms, I hope the Vipers... Promote the snake head to the primary logo. As well as put that on the helmets. Drop lime green altogether. Kelly green and yellow on their own is a good a color combo. Consider ditching the V logo and making a new secondary logo. I just don't like the V at all.

I like St. Louis in blue/white/blue tonight. Hope to see NY and DC switch up their pants some this season.

Think I'm on board the "Seattle Dragons Should Have Gone With Green Home Uniforms" train now. Their helmets look out of place with those navy blue uniforms. I don't think even going white/blue/white would help much.

Yeah, I didn't really notice that until a couple of days ago. The XFL should have probably just gone ahead and named NY the Gargoyles. Although some people might have complained about the league having 2 teams named after mythical creatures *shrug* With that said, I think most people would be okay with it if the Guardians were simply renamed the Gargoyles down the line.

Tampa REALLY needs to make the snake head their primary logo/helmet decal. There's nothing cool or visually appealing about the V logo to me.

IIRC the UFL had StubHub sponsor logos on the helmet bumpers.
