Love the Pirates! Nice touch to include a BFBS alt, too. I found this article that details how New York was a bustling port town for pirates in the late 1600s, thus making “Pirates” a reasonable nickname for an NYC team.

Yeah, constantly bombarding @MJD7 with comments like, "Here are all the teams you forgot to do" isn't an effective way to persuade him (or anyone) to actually design any of those teams. I myself have suggested a fair number of teams in this thread, but I've tried to make a strong case for each one and do so in a respectful manner. Much as I hate (and highly doubt) the idea of the Sox leaving Chicago, I really love this concept, and God forbid they actually moved to Nashville, it's a direction I could see them taking for a number of reasons: - It would give them a reason to finally use their newish "White Sox" script on an actual uniform - Black and red recalls not just the old Sounds uniforms, but also a classic era in White Sox history. - As we've seen with the South Siders' City Connect unis, thick sleeve stripes on a pinstriped home jersey feel like something the team would eventually adopt. Keep up the great work!

I’m curious, since Ban Johnson wanted a second team to join the Pirates in Pittsburgh (rather than supplant them) do you think the Tigers would still wear black and gold? I know there seems to be an unwritten rule that all the Pittsburgh teams have to use those colors, but I wonder if a second MLB team would have wanted a more distinct look. Having said that, maybe in this universe the Pirates end up moving to New York, in which case it wouldn’t be an issue.

Looks great! The home jersey looks exactly like I thought it would, haha. Is that “Pittsburgh” script homemade or did you pull it from somewhere?
  5. I second this! I feel the "S" doesn't really pop as well on the throwback, since the jersey and the background of the shield are both blue. Going with the Fleischer-style shield could solve this.

Ah yes, Jerry Reinsdorf once again threatening to move his team out of Chicago and to an oft-rumored expansion candidate city in order to get funding for a new ballpark, just as he did 36 years ago. Hard to see it actually happening, but it’s an interesting thought. Also interesting to note that there was apparently a Negro League team called the Nashville White Sox.

I think it's great that you thought to lean into the American Association Brewers' red-dominant look for a Cardinals-influenced design.

Even though I'll always advocate for more green in MLB, this version might be my favorite of the three. It also reminds me a bit of the Disney-era Angels, but in a good way.

I love this! Even though I really liked your previous version, this is closer to what I was expecting when you implied you would be doing the Tides. I hope you continue with this series. Your last couple concepts have been some of my favorites!

If the Yanks had actually moved to Jersey, I don’t think there’s a chance they would’ve changed their name.

These were temporary moves made out of necessity due to the pandemic, so I’m not sure they really fit the premise of this series.

Wow! One of my favorites in the series. Using the Marlins' current scripts and numbers was a great call, and they look excellent in the Tides' current green/black/orange color scheme. I managed to unearth a few more possibilities for this series: Baltimore Braves – In 1949, Boston Braves owner Lou Perini made a failed bid to move his team to Baltimore before working out a deal with the City of Milwaukee. Baltimore Cardinals – By 1916, it was apparent St. Louis could not sustain two MLB teams. After the Federal League collapsed, Baltimore Terrapins owners tried to purchase the Cardinals (who were horrible and suffering from poor attendance at the time) and move them to Charm City, but the deal was scuttled by a vindictive Charles Comiskey. Buffalo Red Sox/Bisons - In 1901, American League founder Byron "Ban" Johnson had promised Buffalo a new franchise before snubbing the city and awarding Boston a second MLB team instead. Houston Indians – During the 1958 Winter Meetings, expansion was a hot topic, with Texas (specifically Houston) the leading candidate to land a team. George Kirksey, executive secretary of the Houston Sports Association, made a then record-breaking offer of $5 million to purchase the Cleveland Indians and move them to Houston. Montreal Browns – After Browns owner Philip Ball died in 1933, rumors swirled that the Browns might head to Montreal, with at least two Montreal business moguls expressing interest in buying and moving the team there. New Jersey Yankees – In 1987, amidst their most disappointing decade in team history, George Steinbrenner met with key figures from the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority about relocating the Yankees to a new sports complex in the Meadowlands. (This article states that New Orleans tried to lure the Yankees south, as well.) New York Phillies & Pirates – Along with the Reds, this article claims that the Pirates and Phillies were also courted to relocate to NYC in 1958 following the loss of the Dodgers and Giants to the West Coast. Pittsburgh Tigers - After the Western League became the American League in 1901, the Tigers were rumored to move to Pittsburgh before a new National Agreement was reached in 1903.

I was going to suggest the same thing, but I get why @MJD7 would be hesitant to do this since, as he said, the Arrows uniforms had already been figured out. Still, I had this cool mental image of the Twins' current uniforms but with racing stripes (a la the '80s Indians) and an "Indy" script in the style of their home script for the road jersey.

Nice work! I've always felt the BiG logo should be worn on the front of the jersey more often. I just remembered the reports from 2019 suggesting the Orioles could relocate to Nashville. That same year, a Nashville-based ownership group announced plans to bring an MLB team called the "Stars" to Music City, so maybe an Orioles-inspired Stars set could work for this series?

I think this works quite nicely! Could we see it on the other three jerseys?

Love everything about the Cowboys! The colors, the dusty shade of the road uni, the numbers. The tweaks to the Royals’ old road script really take this concept to the next level. I had an idea: For the sleeves, how about rope-themed stripes, a la the Rangers’ City Connect pants?

The white outlines help the script and numbers pop a lot better. Also, great job with the Missions!

Looks great! Pretty much a perfect marriage of the A’s and Nationals’ identities. If I could make one suggestion, I’d add a white stroke around the road gray’s script & numbers, so that the front of the jersey picks up the white from the sleeves. Alternatively, you could make the white sleeve stripes gray.

If you end up doing the Tides, I’d recommend a design based on their original 1993-2015 look: Their current color scheme is more interesting, but these uniforms felt more MLB-caliber. And hell, it already looks like there’s a giant Nike swoosh incorporated into the wordmark itself.

The Phillies were actually the first team to wear racing stripes in 1970 or 1971. The Expos didn't adopt their racing striped look until 1980.

While that MLB.com article seems to just speculate that the Pirates could have relocated and become the Arrows, the one above confirms it was a possibility. I can honestly say I had never heard about the Twins possibly moving to Indianapolis, though!

    MLB MULTIVERSE

This feels like it could be the spiritual successor to the Buffalo BufFeds/Blues of the Federal League, right down to the logo. Side note, as @DCarp1231 previously alluded to, this article confirms that an attempt to purchase and relocate the Pirates to Indianapolis was made in 1985. Couldn't find anything about the A's, though.

Great thinking to embrace the Angels' City Connect look full-time for Long Beach! I'm kind of curious to see what the set would look like with the more medium blue from the Long Beach flag replacing navy.

Not sure whether this was intentional or not, but the color scheme is somewhat reminiscent of the NY Giants’ 1916 uniforms. Great work!
