The Rays have been winning, so if they had a stadium similar to what the Twins have at Target Field, they might get a nice crowd.
Location of any future Rays stadium is KEY. If it remains in St Pete, it will have a spike in attendance and then settle out fast. A stadium in Tampa proper will have more population to draw from and likely will carry over best.

Man there's something about the lighting in the Vikings stadium that is just off. Even during these day games the colors just don't look right.
Well sunset In Minneapolis today is in less than an hour, so the sun is pretty low in the sky.

I actually have an Angels Authentic Collection vest that's just the vest and no sleeves. I got it at a Rawlings outlet in 2002. I know Majestic took over the license in '02, so I'm not sure if I have some sort of prototype or how exactly that works.
I’m pretty sure authentic were vests with no sleeves, the replicas had colored sleeves

Seahawks have confirmed gray pants. Between that and the red endzones, this game will at least feel a little different than most of their recent meetings.
I always likes when teams added color to the endzones for the playoffs. Bucs have done this before as well.

what did fan replicas of the vest jerseys look like? Just the vest, or was there a red undershirt sewn in?3 minutes ago, FiddySicks said:
It just had red sleeves instead of white.Same for the Pirates vest jerseys of that era were just black sleeves.

Win or lose, both Bowles and Leftwich need to be fired.Leftwich has a higher chance of being let go in my opinion. While I may not totally be on boar with Bowles 100%, he was handed the keys the the team at the end of March 2022 and he was pretty much stuck with the staff and chose to call the defense for simplicity sake.
Bowles will probably stick around, but I would expect changes to the staff. I also would think its better than 50-50 that Bowles wants to offload defensive play calling to a D coordinator, whether that be someone on staff currently or not.

Dallas white pants with the navy jersey is lame. Can we see the CR white pants with the regular white jersey? If they insist on using the CR white pants more.
The shades of blue from the regular white jersey and the blue from the CR pants isnt the same.
It would look like Madden when someone makes a bad uni matchup.

Is it really necessary to have 3/8th of the league from the same state?
It does when you are essentially doing the hub and spoke gamedays and practicing around Dallas during the week.

Guess we didn’t need to worry about the Winter Classic being booted to a Monday afternoon on cable.
Booted??? They followed the precedent they've always done. The WC is always New Years Day, unless that falls on a Sunday (every 6 years). Then it goes to the 2nd.

Indy's field is a little different I think. I believe that Indy's field has the Colts designs as the color of the turf itself (blue, white, etc) and not painted on like places like Atlanta and LA.

My favorite thread on this board.
When have official announcements regarding new uniforms been made by teams in past years? Playoff time, if I remember correctly, with unveilings before or at the draft?I seem to think that the March-April timeframe seems to be the most common time based on releases in the past.

Could’ve had far worse solutions. FWIW, Indianapolis happens to be almost equidistant from Kansas City and Buffalo. That’s probably where the Conference Title game ends up if it comes to that.
I agree, it's pretty certain that a dome will be used for the AFC Championship Game if necessary. I feel like Indy is the frontrunner, but Detroit could be a maybe.

Also, just noticed Jackson State, Sam Houston State, and Kennesaw State are jumping up to FBS. Somehow neither NDSU or SDSU have gained any looks from top tier conferences. They could easily be placed in the Mountain West.
Note sure where you heard about Jackson State going FBS, but im pretty sure that was just Deion being Deion. Now that he's gone for Colorado, Jackson State is likely staying put.

What I would like is for each FBS conference to get an auto bid to the 12 team playoff.
Good luck with that...

I feel there would be a copyright issue if they did that.
I wasn’t thinking something identical, just in that direction

The flaming thumbtack is definitely an issue
Not really. But a slight tweak to a shield motif akin to the Toronto Argonauts direction wouldnt be awful.

I’d like to see them return to a light blue helmet for the first time since the 1960s. Would certainly stand out.
If anyone should switch to a light blue helmet, its the Panthers.

I think a metallic silver or chrome or steel-shaded helmet would work really well for the titans. The logo would look great on it and it would play into their silly sword gimmick without being so over the top.
then just a more basic uniform (or something similar to their original set) but add the silver / gray pants into the mix and we’re set.
no need for full rebrand, no need for a drastic change, no need for any of that.
Agreed, this kind of silver shell would be very good for the Titans.

Hearing another option is to have Buffalo and Cincinnati play a Week 19, while the NFC wild card gets underway, with the AFC having a bye, then the following weekend the AFC wildcard with the NFC on bye, basically giving us two wildcard weekends and pushing the divisional, conference championship up a week, eliminating the bye before the Super Bowl, with the Pro Bowl being scrapped.
This might be the best option if necessary. It could cause some shifting of the TV schedule, but that could be worked out I'm sure.

Other than the Twins redesign and a few more City Connects, are any other teams rumored to be getting new unis/alternates for 2023?
Rays are reported to be dropping the gray jersey in 2023. Nothing has been said about any changes to their existing navy blue or columbia blue jerseys, but on a personal level I hope they bring in a pair of columbia blue pants for the road.

I would've gone with Lumen Field for a Seattle Winter Classic venue, but T-Mobile Park would be more intimate which is probably the decision the NHL went with. Either way that should be a fun change of pace.
I would seem to think that maybe they had to work around the Seahawks dates for what would be the 2023 NFL season. The dates probably arent public, but I know setup and deconstruction for a Winter Classic would take 10-14 days total, which could overlap two possible Sundays.

MLB Stadium Saga: Oakland/Tampa Bay/Southside

Yes, the are north of Raymond James Stadium is currently parking lots for gameday. It used to be home to old Tampa Stadium. It hasnt been a site spoken about in the limited talks. My hunch is that since its directly across the street from the Yankees complex, it's not considered due to optics.
