Here's a better pic of the new banners. I like the uniform design but different logos for the different eras.
Heres a look at the old ones...

I don't understand why they couldn't just go straight MiLB where it's seperate regional leagues, who all play the same amount of games and then come together for the finals.
This should happen once more teams go out west.
-
Where is Tampa Bay?
-
Thrashers sale happened end May/early June 2011 and announced immediate relocation. There's kept the Jets in the southeast division for that immediate season and possibly the next if I recall. I wouldn't think a movie east would happen now, but a move west would be possible as divisions could remain the same.
-
Not bad....still wish they went with Morgantown as an identifier rather than West Virginia, since the name West Viriginia is used in the Sally League.
The incorporation of blue and gold of WVU with the primary black is nice.

I find it hard to understand that it's the sites responsibility to assess an individual's on-site issues.
As Pollux said, can you provide some screenshots of your side of things so we can better understand the issue?

Yes, but Springfield isn't owned by an NHL team. Unless the Yotes buy the Falcons, they're going nowhere.
And it's bad optics for the franchise in the same city as your league offices to up and move because its parent club says so.
Norfolk's AHL squad wasn't for sale but once the possibility of a Pacific division came about, $$$ talked and BS walked. Anything is possible.
-
I would think multi-year affiliation means with the franchise itself, not necessarily the city.

It can be done, YES! the logistics would all have to align. The problem would then be........Where do the Admirals go?
Maybe Orlando for the Lightning AHL affiliate and then move Orlando ECHL to Worcester.
-
Not really a realignment more than just a simple adjustment to the playoff format. I was thinking about how MLB's two wildcards in each league face off to eliminate each other in the first round, and applied that to hockey. Plus it would allow Minny to face Winny in the opening round.
Nice try, but no. You cant have the essentiall best two teams per conference (the # 1's) play eachother in Round 1. The setup they have now is pretty much perfect where it creates division rivalries until the conference finals.

The bottom line is that Brandiose "screwed the pooch" when it came to generating potential names for Hartford's Double-A baseball team. They were so intent on coming up with something fun, crazy, and outside-the-box different... so caught-up in the idea of creating a logo package that would revolve around images of a unique and/or goofy mascot - a goat, whirlybird, river-hog, praying mantis, or hedgehog - that they sacrificed adopting an identity truly relevant to Hartford.
Frankly, Brandiose has become a victim of their own success. They've become SO known as the guys who are ready, willing, and able to "push the envelope", few clients seem to want anything else from them. While it undoubtedly pays the bills, I can't help but wonder if going to the same aesthetic "well" doesn't get creatively frustrating for them?
True, but im sure all Hartford ownership wouldve had to say to the crazy ideas is NO. They didnt and we're where we are today.

Looks like the AHL Bulldogs are on their way out, while the OHL Belleville Bulls are getting sold and relocated to become the new Hamilton Bulldogs.
So is Montreal moving the AHL Bulldogs to St Johns and the current St Johns to Winnipeg or is Montreal sigining a deal with the current St Johns franchise and Hamilton is off to Winnipeg?
-
As stated in the link, the move of the Icecaps to Winnipeg could be temporary until a new facility is found (ie. Pretty much what we all assume the Sharks are doing with the AHL Sharks in SJ)As for Winnipeg, is it really a great idea to have 2 pro hockey teams in that one city?? They should look west to Brandon/Saskatoon/Regina yes? East to Thunder Bay perhaps?
-
Hmm, so looks like the ECHL will have another realignment for 15-16
I think you would see some affiliation shifts too as with the Central-ECHL merger left some teams without affiliates and some with 2 affiliates.
-
After looking why wouldn't Vancouver and Arizona want Utica and Portland closer?
-
So now with Worcester and Norfolk rumored to be moving, who else would be an option to go out west?
-
Still, wherever they end up, I pray they keep the original Sharks logo!
If it's San Jose, they'll almost certainly adopt the current NHL Sharks logo - otherwise they'd have to repaint the logo at center ice on every changeover between the NHL and AHL Sharks.
They'll probably go with a different uni style and a variation on the Sharks name for the AHL team, in order to differentiate it from its parent club/arena-mate. Tiburones (Spanish for "Sharks"), perhaps?
Yeah they've said they're going to rename the team, but not to what. But it'll undoubtedly be Shark related but distinct.
How about NorCal Makos or Bay Area Makos?

This was posted to a popular USF bog site today and provides some excellent considerations as to why the pair of the Bulls and Knights of UCF should be considered for the Big 12:
-
Shuckers rhymes with.......anywho good luck to the team. They have a great GM who knows MiLB like no one else.

This Bucs Jersey was sold in stores but the Bucs never wore it in a game.
It was a fashion jersey, many other teams had them.
Correct, I remember seeing gold Rams, yellow Vikes, Chiefs, & Packers, silver Lions & Raiders, red Titans, etc....
-
Appears to be brought to you by the people who gave you the C U B S road jersey.
News stories I have read state that this may not exactly be the final logo. Due to the timeframe at hand and the approvals that have to be done for logos thru MILB, USPTO, etc. they were able to provide this as a defacto placeholder.
-
adding that the team will honor the 14 years remaining on its lease with Broward County.
Wow. 14 more years? How godsdamned long was the lease at inception? Why on earth would you commit to that if you're the Panthers - was there really a risk taht they'd be denied tenancy?
$$$$$$ Talks....Im sure a buyout can happen for the right price.
-
I would like to know if there is any possible way to change my username?
Nope, there was at one point but due to reasons out of the forums control the option has been removed.

CBS Sports reports that the path to an NHL team in Seattle is clear:
Now to who that team might be....Arizona makes sense, but maybe the Panthers could make the jump. I dont see an expansion to 32 teams.

Red, white, and a dark purple would have been a nice compromose though...
