  1. If I wanted to watch a sport where no one played defense, I would just flip over to TNT, and watch the NBA... There's a huge element of sacrifice for the team that everyone enjoys, that comes from blocking shots... Dave should get a major for being idiotic...
  2. The games were actually fun to watch, and the players were pretty much goofing around, and showing off their skill. Kucherov's no-move move goal was fantastic, as well as the double backspin pass goal were great. Fleury and Rinne actually made some great saves. And the "drama" around the challenged goal was pretty funny.
  3. Funny... While I've never heard of this guy, and it's apparently his "wrong" uniform, this is the image that pops into my head when I hear Mercury Mets...
  4. I would have rather seen the Lightning match their home sweater to their road instead of what they did... It adds a little more to the jersey, and helped separate them from the Leafs a little. Now they're closer to the leafs...
  5. I agree... Navy and Athletic gold is a great color scheme! But the Sabres still mess it up with that ridiculous silver in the striping...
  6. The Wild wing jersey had a nice striping pattern and good color balance... The font and logo sucked however. If they just used the regular block font, and Mighty Ducks logo, we could've seen that replace the original set...
  7. I am currently writing a paper about NHL participation in the Olympics. I don't really need advice or tips about how to write it, but what I really would like is just some discussion generated and to hear what other people think about long term effects (if you think they'll be any) of the NHL not going to the Olympics next year, and possibly the next Winter Olympic year. While I disagree about the NHL players not participating, I don't think it's as bad as some people are making it out to be. I mean, the USA's greatest hockey moments have come without professionals playing. While it does affect the viewership, in that there will be no superstars (which is probably why most Americans tune in), there still might be an opportunity to "grow the game" with more exciting games. USA has been doing quite well as of late, and for a country like the US, which doesn't have a whole lot of interest in hockey, going with amatuer players and probably a better storyline, could help get more people introduced into the sport, and want to play. Those are just some positives... Negatively, People would probably stop watching, because they don't care that John Doe is leading the US in scoring and not Patrick Kane. They also probably wouldn't care how well Canada's doing, because their current points leader is Billy Bob, not Sidney Crosby, and the best goalie is Albert Francois not Carey Price... Superstars draw in crazy attendance, so other than the hockey community, not many people are going to tune in... We might miss the next Modano because his parents didn't bother to tune in to Olympic hockey with a bunch of scrubs... There's a lot of variables and factors that could have an affect on Hockey in the long run, because of this... What are some of your opinions on this?
  8. I know that Vanek was drafted that early, but I subconsciously think of him in the Buffaslug and then the Navy uniforms...
  9. I personally associate him with this set... Some of the first games that I went to at Target field always seemed to be against the Black Jays, and Bautista always seemed to have a huge hit that would put the Jays up by enough to put the Twinkies out of the game... But he'll always be remembered for the bat flip...
  10. Zach Parise... Will only really associate him with the Current road jersey.
  11. You should keep a few of those... Those are really well done! I don't know what part of those you made, but...
  12. Ahahahaha... I just read white pants would look good, and I just had to comment back...
  13. GIVE ME A D I A P E R WHAT DOES THAT SPELL?!?!? DIAPER!!!
  14. Time to start back up the circle of discussion about the Anaheim Ducks, but... The Webbed-D logo is a great logo. It's simple. It's a great idea, and it looks good even in smaller applications. It's extremely underrated, and even hated on here, mostly because it's not the Mighty Ducks logo... Both have their flaws, and both have really good things about them, but the Webbed D is better. It has cleaner and more consistent lines than the Mighty ducks, and it has a better overall use of their colors. Silver is present, but that is about the only flaw I can find... The Mighty Ducks logo however uses yellow and black, pretty dominantly, and those colors don't appear anywhere on the main jerseys. And the outline around the sticks and part of the beak-mask, outside of the rounded triangle, is thicker than anywhere else... Why can't it be the same thickness? If that had appeared on the Webbed-D logo, Everyone would have pointed it out, and ridiculed it... If I wasn't a hockey fan, and I was seeing this logo for the first time, then I would have no idea that the uniforms had eggplant all over them. I also would be surprised to find out that yellow wasn't present on the regular home and roads... Now don't get me wrong... It's a fun identity, the eggplant jerseys were fantastic, (The whites had some color balance issues), and it even makes me nostalgic. This identity existed when I started watching and getting into hockey. BUT... It's not a good logo...
  15. Actually that's the right uniform... But for all the wrong reasons...
  16. I hate that they wear these against opponents that have fantastic sweaters. The original Blueshirts against teams like the B's, the Habs, or even the Wild, would a be fantastic sweater matchup, but nope, they wear these instead. Boston especially...
  17. Maybe you should try giving some feedback on other people's concepts, instead of just asking for a cardinals concept... I love that Panther's set! Not sure how I feel about the Color Rush though... Also the Cleveland color rush uniform should have a little bit of brown in it. I mean, they are the Browns after all.
  18. Back in High School he could hit a ball a quarter-mile... What's funny, is the guy who played Uncle Rico was actually a baseball player
  19. Here's my unpopular opinion... I hate soccer jerseys... It seems like every year they're switched up, and the only thing that stays the same is the ad in the front. And then I don't understand the clash kit. I mean I get why they have it, and that makes sense, but they almost never seem to share any of the same colors, or the same design. Almost every other sport follows some unspoken uniform rules, but soccer doesn't really follow anything...
