2022 NFL regular season through Super Bowl LVII
Cosmic replied to PittsburghSucks's topic in Sports In General
Bills-Browns moved to Detroit. The storm is actually supposed to be winding down by kickoff, but 1) That makes them look bad if they're wrong 2) People still have to get to the game beforehand 3) Clearing a lot of snow from the stadium is hard. It would have been fun if they could have pulled it off. -

It's early, but we could get a snow game this week. -

May be my Bills bias, but I think Frank Reich is more likely to get another head coaching gig before being forced to go back to OC. He was really going places in Indy before Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan came along. -

My rule of thumb for big stadiums/arenas is 3 years of construction, so even if everything goes to plan here, we'd be looking at 2026 before the Coyotes have a permanent home. -

Boston Globe said the victim tested negative for everything: "Part of that bullying included wiping a candy push pop in a urinal and tricking Meyer-Crothers into consuming it. The victim reportedly had tests for hepatitis, STDs, and HIV, which came back negative." https://www.bostonglobe.com/2022/11/04/sports/mitchell-miller-bruins/ -

Well, the Bills aren't quite Death Star Terminators. Josh Allen hasn't been himself the last couple of games, and the run defense IMO has been revealed as a mirage. I think the TV commentators said the Bills were 4th in rushing yards against, but the Packers and Jets seemed like they were running free. I think their stats were skewed with most opponents playing in catch-up mode. They're still good, but they've got some stuff to work on -

Interceptions are out of hand the last couple games. It's not like they're deflections or anything; he just makes a lot of horrible decisions sometimes. -

Ask where the ranch dressing is. I hear they like that. -

How well do you think those metal lockers are anchored to the floor? I don't know how big of a deal it is to drill into the concrete there, considering it's supposed to be a rink. -

HOLY CRAP THESE GAMES ARE GREAT!!!!! This really is the new Colts/Patriots. It's nice to have the Bills get one. -

I look at it kind of like one of those "extra point to force overtime vs. two points to win" decisions. It puts more scrutiny on the coach, even if statistically it's the same or even better. Harbaugh was scared of the Bills' offense... and he was absolutely right to be. 2.5 minutes of game time later, and the announcers were already talking about how the Ravens should let the Bills score so they would at least get the ball back. And their 4th-and-5 came soooo close to working. If Lamar Jackson sees that receiver a little earlier or if Jordan Poyer doesn't make the defensive play of the game right there, they had 6. -

Make sure you watch the replays in the second half of the clip. Seems pretty ordinary at first, but it was a highlight reel play from Jordan Poyer. -

The Czechs aren't big fans of an "expansionist" Russia. Go figure... Jagr wore 68. Hasek wanted all Russians kicked out of the league when they invaded Ukraine. This is very on-brand for them. -

Yeah... when the good news is that the player can still move all their extremities... -

Bills suffer the absolute indignity of being forced to punt, but they immediately get the ball back when the fair catch is dropped. And that is how I know Buffalo is about to be swallowed up by the Earth, Atlantis-style. -

What a nightmare to have in the locker room. He's not an incel... he obviously got off on the power imbalance with the masseuses. Now, he's being mandated to use team personnel who will know their team's MVP-level QB will be out of the game if they report anything inappropriate. You need like three unrelated observers following him at all times. -

The owner wanted them to lose... they never drafted higher than 5th overall. They tampered with at least two different people... neither of which came to Miami. 1st and 3rd round picks well spent! -
Wouldn't really be able to tell unless we knew what other offers were actually on the table. He's in the same country and time zone as his family now, so it's still an improvement.

In the last two offseasons combined, Vegas has now given away the reigning Vezina winner and a point-per-game player for absolutely nothing.

Bearing in mind it's just a randomTwitter poll, but showing that over 1/3 of people actually DO care is not a nothing result. -

Nobody wants the team, but someone will probably want the gambling rights that come with the team. -
Rick Jeanneret's last game is tonight, after a 51-year career. Gonna be feeling all the feels.

It might be funny if Quebec City didn't build an NHL arena for nothing.

Vegas really should have checked to see if whatever Buffalo has is contagious.
