Vegas really should have checked to see if whatever Buffalo has is contagious.

I decided to finally look up what "myflorida.com" is. I assumed it was a tourism website, which wouldn't be the worst thing considering how many Florida license plates spend summers in other states. It's just a janky, bare-bones site for generic state government. Get that damn thing off the license plates.

Team logos that are "forever done"

Blackhawks kinda need to be in their own category, if you catch my drift. -
We're still minting pennies that cost more to make than they're worth. I think your timetable is... ambitious.

2021 NFL Season - Adults Arguing About Matt Stafford

OITGDNFL where the trophy presentation starts with two old guys talking about the building instead of the players who actually won the game. Hard to believe the NHL does something pretty well in comparison. -

O-line crapped the bed when they needed one yard. Hopefully the Bengals reload and get back. -

I definitely want more Ickey Woods up there with the giant necklace wrapped up like grandma's couch. The uniforms are a wash... both teams are pretty much wearing their best look with just a few details I don't like. Really, winning a Super Bowl in the "modern throwbacks" would hopefully be a big nail in the coffin for the regular set. Don't care what a team does with their draft picks; I tend to think draft picks are overvalued in the NFL, so a team spending them in trades actually makes me like them more. Not plugged in to off-the-field stuff enough to be annoyed by anyone that isn't beating their wife or lying about being vaccinated. -

This Super Bowl is a bit of a weird one for choosing who to root for. My heart immediately says, "Ooh, big bad LA trying to beat up on poor little Cincinnati!" Logically, though, the Rams' window is probably closing real soon... they have an old QB, they've been trading away their high draft picks every year, I'm assuming their salary cap situation isn't great. If Joe Burrow is the real deal, the Bengals probably have a good shot at being a contender going forward. It's probably the closest my rooting interests have been in a long time. -

I'm so happy to see the same movie, but with the good guys winning this time. -
NHL Anti-Thread: Bad Business Decision Aggregator

I hadn't thought about this in forever, but wow "playing in a mall" was so ahead of its time. I remember "LoL tHeY pLaY iN a MaLl" being such a slur against the Whalers, but having some "integrated retail, dining, and entertainment experiences" is pretty much on every team's wishlist today. A lot of architecture from that time period didn't age well, but the concept was solid. Looking at what pictures I can find, it seems like a pretty normal 70s arena. -

Not new, just on my 9th prediction that this is really the year the Coyotes move and my 12th prediction that Tom Brady is getting old. -

There's no way this is a real plan. We're in the stage where there just has to be some kind of story to peddle, and then two days after the Stanley Cup Final is over, Houston will have a team. -

Can I throw a can of Sklyline Chili through a table instead? In my culture, it's considered a great honor. -

25 points in the last two minutes... not great to start without the ball. -

Assuming the random missing red stripe is a mistake, I'm going to call these a huge success. They kept the unique template (did any other major team ever use it?) and the changes to the logo are probably an improvement. I'm a 90s kid who spent a lot of time trying to draw the goat head... it had a TON of crazy detail. My only complaint with the changes is I think it needs those red nostrils to break up all that gray/silver at the bottom.

Loganberry's on me tonight, boys. -
So how long before we see midseason division realignment?
-
Nah, I think this is the opposite of getting cancelled. Dude was apparently a pretty thorough :censored: over years and years, and was it all a side effect of booze? At work? Seems doubtful. This is just so he can crawl back into an organization later as a scout or consultant or something.

Alright, so we reset the clock on the Sabres to ten years ago... a team with a couple decent players, but nothing remarkable about them. If this washes off the stink of trying to lose every night for so long, then so be it. Build back up from a bunch of random guys going into the corners hard. At least they didn't succeed in giving their best player of the last 20 years a degenerative neck condition.

No. Not a single person believes in this team. Not even the Make-A-Wish kid that gets invited to practice. Their goalies are Craig Anderson and Dustin Tokarski. Their biggest off-season acquisition was probably Vinnie Hinostroza. The front office is a mess. The only encouraging sign was that they were slightly less awful under Don Granato last season... 9-16-3 as opposed to 6-18-4 with Ralph Krueger.
