  1. The Kings have a 100% win percentage in their RR 2.0 jerseys. Sounds like they should be the team's full-time road jerseys, since we're basing aesthetics off on-ice performance. EDIT: Obvious /s, since I guess we need the disclaimer.
  2. The crown on the helmet looks to be 3D. Interesting touch.
  3. This is a pretty cool idea. I'll chip in a concept for a great organization that I've donated to many times, and whose work I especially value. The Rocky Mountain Conservancy is an organization based out of Estes Park, Colorado that works to preserve the natural beauty and prestige of Rocky Mountain National Park. Through education programs, research grants, and conservation work in the field, the Conservancy does work that will enshrine RMNP's splendor for generations to come. Click here to donate! And thanks once again for starting such a cool series!
  4. Both of these jerseys look like something that would've been posted on the concepts board in 2013.
  5. Putting the Screagle jersey at the bottom of the list is one of the most braindead jersey takes I think I've ever seen.
  6. I'm not sure how popular or unpopular this is, but I really dislike the Rangers' second Reverse Retro. Especially on the ice, the contrast between the red and blue is jarring, and the color proportions feel really off, especially for a Rangers sweater. They're not as stupidly minimal as their first Reverse Retros though, so I guess they have that going for them.
  7. Hey all. A few days ago, the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins unveiled the logos they'll be using for the upcoming Winter Classic next January. Inspired by the looks the teams unveiled, I whipped up a pair of jersey and uniform mockups for the event. The Penguins' jerseys, in line with the logo the team unveiled, is a pretty direct throwback to the Pittsburgh Pirates' inaugural uniforms, including the wordmark on the chest and the Pittsburgh civic shield on the arms. The Bruins' uniform is a fauxback to match the logo, incorporating the team's original Spoked B logo, a classic striping pattern inspired by the team's midcentury jerseys, and touches of brown from the team's inaugural sweaters. Short, simple, and sweet. I really hope the league swings a color vs. color matchup like this when they formally unveil the team's jerseys. What do you think? Are there any tweaks I should make? Let me know!
  8. The orange pants look great with a white jersey. But if they tried going the Sharks route and used them on an orange base, it would look terrible.
  9. Just more proof that the Caps need to bring back the black/gold/bronze color scheme.
  10. Latest score: $35 on Depop. I'm an Islanders fan, so I'll never wear it. But it was such a good deal for such a good jersey. Couldn't pass it up.
  11. These would’ve looked so much better in black.
  12. Honestly doesn't look terrible on ice. Not saying it looks GOOD, but...
  13. It might belong in the Unpopular Opinions thread, but I like the Canucks' chest numbers.
  14. The more I look at it, the weirder the lowercase "I" and "S" look in the Islanders' Reverse Retro logo. Not to mention the zombified Gorton with the grey face and hands.
  15. That Capitals heritage jersey feels a lot like the Islanders' second Reverse Retro. It's not bad, but it takes everything fun and unique the original had and disregards it. I don't dislike it, but the ugly font, angular striping, and waist wordmark made the original jersey unique, and are big parts of why people like the old Screagle look. I don't think scrapping those elements was the right move, but I understand why you did. That said, the home/road jerseys for the Caps are very well done. The team looks really good in navy, and it translates perfectly to the road jersey. The 'W' logo is a wonderful shoulder patch, too.
  16. Please tell me you're kidding. Anyways, let's get on to the Clash uniforms. You'll notice right out the gate that the Clash jerseys aren't as expressive as the Identity jerseys, and that's intentional. There's much more black and white as opposed to unique color schemes, which is the nature of having a clashing jersey set. I tried to give each team a new jersey design altogether, so as to further explore each team's identity. You'll notice a few unique design choices here. The Pride's jerseys are loosely based on the Boston Bruins' dark jerseys, the Whale's jerseys are modeled after the Hartford Whalers' WHA look, the Riveters' jerseys are another take on the team's "Black Rosie" jerseys, and the rest are all unique. Like with the Identity jerseys, I also put together a bunch of jersey-centric mockups. Here they are: I'll have a few more specialty jerseys here in another couple days. In the meantime, what do you think of the clash jerseys? Any tweaks or changes I should make? Let me know!
  17. this is gonna be in the rare uniform matchups thread within a year or two
  18. putting your own logo over imagery that you didn't create is certainly a choice
  19. These aren't really things I have any control over as a concept creator. I don't disagree with y'all, but I also don't get to choose the teams' names ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I played around with putting the Six into a black/red jersey, but I liked the way a white base incorporated the color scheme. There's nothing saying a given team's Identity jersey has to have a dark base, but I get why it feels odd only having one team with a white Identity sweater. I mocked up red and black versions of the Six's Identity uniform anyways, though. I like the white one best, but the black one also isn't that bad imo. Let me know what y'all think!
  20. Honestly, if I were a player on the Coyotes, I'd rather play in a packed barn of 5,000 than in front of 13,000 empty seats every night. With the building being filled with fans who care enough to show up, I bet the energy is pretty electric, too.
  21. Hey all! I'm back with yet another hockey concept series, this time with a redesign of the world's highest-caliber women's hockey league, Premier Hockey Federation. I'll be redesigning each of the league's seven teams' jerseys, giving each team an Identity and Clash uniform. The Identity uniforms are below and are meant to be encapsulations of each team's brand. The Clash uniforms are meant to be worn whenever two teams' Identity uniforms clash too much and are secondary to the Identity jerseys. Anyways, enough talk. Here are the concepts: Each team's look is meant to be unique. The color palettes, striping patterns, and overall vibes of the uniforms are designed to be distinct, hence the 'Identity' uniform moniker. Each team's jersey has design touches made to be distinctive, building both off each community's hockey history and the teams' individual identities. Here are some mockups of the jerseys that provide a bit of a clearer look at each design: I'll post each team's Clash uniforms here in a couple days. As for the Identity uniforms, what do y'all think?
