  1. Barcelona needs yellow numbers in my opinion. The white/off-white is just not "barca" to me. But what do I know
  2. I feel like the Royals unis are 95% there. It's beautiful, but I think the numbers are too thick. Its the right width if they had outlines, but on its own the number is just too thick compared to the standard MLB fonts
  3. I’m just glad we don’t get the illusions that we see in many overseas leagues where it’s optimized to be straight on TV but looks incredibly altered in person. I’d prefer the stickers and it be visible in person, but if it’s a player safety concern, that overrides visuals
  4. Gold is such a hard color to use digitally but looks excellent on a uniform when done properly. (49ers a great example). So yes, this color stinks but your mind may change if it looks good in practice. The colors are a bit muted, but I like dropping the navy, although I would keep black as nothing more than a tertiary accent. The shield mark is bad, the wordmark is a fun mashup but I hope I don't see it on much more than the baselines. I like the C, although it was better with the sword. Overall it gets a meh from me until we see uniforms, which can really make or break it all.
  5. I love any ant-Braves and pro-Phils content, but the reason was current Phillie Johan Camargo was a part of the Braves org last year and was awarded his ring yesterday (as it was their first game in Atlanta this season)
  6. Pelicans brand is really good overall. I'm okay with the NOLA, but the normal white-blue-red uniforms are a fantasic set. Unique and not overly gimmicky. Pelicans is a great great name, and they did a solid job in their original set
  7. The claret and light blue scheme is an elite color combo, but I think the Avs problem is their blue is way too dark. Its normally a sky blue type, and the balance is just off since its almost 2 clashing dark colors. THeyre a weird case, but the Name % logo are elite, and the color is unique to the major 4 in the USA (sans throwbacks from my phillies)
  8. Not all of those numbers will make it into the regular season. Many will, but not all.
  9. Flyers refer to themselves as the "Orange and the Black". Definitely Orange primary compared to Anaheim's black primary, and different sides of the country and conference make it totally tolerable.
  10. The league could use a true black and yellow team, but it shouldn't be the Jazz, and that (hopefully scrapped) rebrand look is awful
  11. Can’t wear 0 (college number) in the NFL, and 22 is open (number of his fallen Utah teammates)
  12. Great job 49ers! Never thought the current state of things was bad (they may have the top home/road in the league) (note how I only say home/road) but this is a welcomed update that will look great for consistency and detail sake. Good job in not being lazy SF. Reason it's getting so much love is because of the amount of teams that ignore this aspect of it all.
  13. Teams are allowed to pick any name and any color scheme they want. If this is the brand they want, go for it. If they coe out with this and still run throwbacks or the red rocks, its criminal.
  14. Fanatics is horrendous in quality for us consumers. Glad to see the teams have the same issues and its a top-down problem, not individual to me
  15. Well aware of the sarcasm in your quote, but those are great points of yes, I did not like those. Tatum's buzzer-beater vs Brooklyn was a fantastic moment, and one that will be replayed for years to come (esp if the Celts win the series), yet they're in black... Yuck. When we look back in 5, 10, 15 years, will we immediately identify that black as the celtics? maybe, and for some other teams' 1 year uniforms, absolutely not
  16. Yeah, some city uniforms are in team colors, but they shouldn't be allowed in the postseason imo. let the iconic moments be in the uniforms the teams decided to brand around
  17. What I really can't believe is how a team found a way to include a gradient as a significant design element... ... and the CCSLC liked it. Also, a few days ago I claimed that it was obviously an orange uniform with navy stitched on top... By material sake, I still think that picture is correct of that, but it may have been a great decoy by showing a prototype instead of an actual teaser. If you zoom in on the posted uniforms, the navy has the same perforations as the orange did, and the numbers (twill material) are smooth like the navy of the original teaser. Fair play Astros, thats a heck of a teaser.
  18. The astros is definitely an orange base with blue and yellow on top. Likely a number because of its size, but definitely because of the obvious layering. Blue is the top material.
  19. I believe the case was the same for Fonts By COnrad, because his didnt use team names at all and was also told to stop
  20. the point is you want casuals to notice, where they spend the money to buy legitimate and not look like an obvious knockoff (although many are still ridiculously obvious anyways to our trained eyes)
  21. Block font slightly different from the normal is a perfect way to make it hard for counterfeits, which I'm sure has a non-zero factor into a redesign
  22. I should be clear, I don't think they need a black helmet, but the current iteration is this: The green only *really* shows in the spots reflecting the lights. Otherwise, it's almost unnoticeably dark. If the new helmets don't feature wings or they come with a satin or matte finish, it will be much more noticeable.
  23. to be fair, the eagles green is so dark it wont be ALL that different
  24. I think the lions would do well with a smidge of white, specifically in number outlines to improve legibility. I think the silver blends a little too much on the blue uniforms, and they use white numbers on their grays. Would drop the gray uniforms personally, but overall I think it’s a good set in the modern NFL.
