  1. Makes sense that the Celtics, Knicks and Warriors get throwbacks for the 75th Anniversary. They did it for the 50th Anniversary too in 1996-97. I find it pretty funny that the Celtics are throwing back to when they wore sleeves in 1946 but the sleeved uniforms no longer exist. If there was ONE time and I mean only ONE TIME for that dumb idea to return then this would have been it.
  2. A white facemask would have made no sense for that helmet design or the reason for the uniform in general. Nothing upsets me more when a team makes a throwback but it ends up being some totally new thing like what Washington did. If you can't find a way to do some form of throwback then why even bother? If the helmet and the jersey have to be from different years that's fine, but it's atleast doing something that is throwing back to history. Thankfully, 2021 will be the last time the mismatching will stop.
  3. I have always thought that people on this board have a hard time accepting that alot of teams just don't want to do something including myself sometimes. It's like why wouldn't you want to put 3 stripes on your jersey? The 49ers have had that for decades. They can't be that stupid right? Oh well.
  4. The Colts have a new horse logo?!
  5. The Olympics finally have a new graphics package after what felt like an eternity. Here's what we got during Women's Soccer. It's pretty nice.
  6. I don't mind the Bucks black jersey because it's been their alternate jersey for the last 5 years. It's still a main part of the brand as a result, so even if it doesn't look that great, it atleast makes sense.
  7. They should be called the Washington I'M SICK OF THIS TOPIC SO MUCH IT IS EXTREMELY ANNOYING PLEASE CHANGE THE TEAM NAME ALREADY SO WE CAN ALL MOVE ON WITH ON OUR LIVES AND LIVE IN PEACE PLEASE GOD I BEG YOU. It's a little long but I think it could work.
  8. The Rams new white jersey is exactly what it should have been from the start. It seems obvious to me that somewhere in the creative process, the Rams decided to switch the bone uniform to being the away uniform. The uniform alignment is totally backwards. It looks like an alternate jersey while the new white jersey looks alot like the home jersey and evokes alot of what the Rams fans wanted in the first place. Someone in the organization must have made the call to switch them. This whole thing is very boneheaded. I'm sorry, I can't resist.
  9. Here's a better look at the NBA 75th Anniversary logo.
  10. E-40 didn't even make it to worldwide knowledge until like 2006 when "Tell Me When To Go" came out. He was already popular here in California before that but man, that song really did alot to keep his career going and let people know. You're in the clear on this as far as I'm concerned.
  11. That's what happens when you're the GOAT.
  12. It seems like the NFL modified the amount of times you can wear an alternate since there's 18 weeks as opposed to 17 weeks now. 49ers will wear the red jersey 4 times and the white one 2 times. I'm a bit concerned by how much they get to do this, but I want to feel like they got leeway because they are the 49ers and this is how the uniform was in 1994 but that's just wishful thinking.
  13. The Dallas Cowboys didn't wear their usual white look in the 1995 Preseason, instead they wore the Double Star alternate for some reason. Not only are the uniform matchups rare, but the uniform itself is too, they had solid blue socks and no 75th anniversary patch. They wore the standard blue jersey against the Bills in Toronto and the Oilers in San Antonio.
  14. I will never understand how the Jaguars managed to fix their stupid uniforms then made it worse again a few years later with the socks situation. These guys just have no clue.
  15. The first ever Raiders uniform had a plain black helmet from 1960 to 1962. In 1962 they added a yellow stripe. I doubt the Raiders ever throw back to this look unless the fanbase really pushes for it and from everything I've seen, nobody is down for black and yellow. The 1970 throwback is here to stay.
  16. As long as the NFL keeps the rule of being able to wear alternates 3 times a season then I am completely fine with this. Everyone should just chill out, we got 18 weeks in the NFL season now and a large majority of it will still be in the primary uniforms for each team.
  17. The Cavs actually had to ask the league if they could wear it, this was pre-Nike so the NBA was very pushy about non regular alternates being used in the playoffs and especially the Finals. Only two teams have done weird alts in the Finals before Nike came in, the Nets with the ABA look in 2003 and the Cavs sleeved in 2016.
  18. I feel like that extra emphasis was made up by people that hate the team and mostly Michigan fans.
  19. An all white alternate uniform for the Rams sounds like a good idea to me, then they can make it the primary away uniform after a few years.
  20. Stumbled on this weird 2009 broadcast of the Rays and A's playing with MLB.com graphics. I never knew about this. Both teams are also wearing throwbacks to add to the weirdness.
  21. That was my exact thought too. Nothing about it evokes Oklahoma to me as it was suppose to, instead it looks like it's a tribute to stock car racing, which is something you would think the Pacers would do.
  22. Watching the Thunder doesn't make you want to get a crappy hot dog from a convenience store?
  23. The 75th Anniversary uniforms seem like they will be alot of fun. Atleast the NBA is doing something cool to celebrate it's history unlike the NFL who completely failed their 100th season.
  24. This is another thing I don't like about the Lakers Statement jersey. The yellow numbers on purple absolutely sucks and it's because the contrast with a yellow number and white drop shadow is messed up, that font is not made for it at all, that drop shadow is so minimal that it makes that specific color combo look bad. Another issue is that the shade of yellow is ass and it doesn't help. Even the Showtime Era numbers look bad when it's yellow. You just can't do these colors with a drop shadow. The yellow wordmark and white number was a better color balance overall.
