  1. I'm not much of a Hockey fan so I don't carry the tradionalist type viewpoints on uniforms and with that being said, I always thought most of the 90's NHL uniforms were awesome. Having wavy numbers to go with the water waves is pretty creative. I understand why people didn't like the Islanders Fisherman logo but I personally thought it looked pretty good if you just forget that it's suppose to belong to a traditional type team. These logos are nice.
  2. Because most modern helmet styles suck.
  3. They always used the City court for Summer League. Warriors still had the 75th Anniversary logo on their court too. Teams use the previous seasons court because new ones aren't even ready to go yet.
  4. The Jazz uniforms in Summer League are terrible, it looks almost exactly like the regular uniforms and that's hilarious. The yellow they're using is just ridiculous, I'm amazed they actually this would be good. They are really gonna wear this crap during the season.
  5. I never liked that ultra detailed Eagles logo. It's too wide, too detailed and just doesn't evoke "team logo" enough to me. It was fine on the sleeves of the jersey but that's it. I like this one better. It's very "logo-ish" if that makes any sense. If they could pull something like this off then that would be great, and no, please don't compare it to the Falcons.
  6. The Lakers and Celtics wore throwbacks in December 1996 making this the only time the Lakers wore a road jersey and blue in The Forum. Also, Kobe didn't play in this game so if you see someone wearing this jersey with the gold NBA logo then it's something he never actually wore. Also, the Hornets debuted their purple alternate at home against the magic to open the 1994-95 season.
  7. The Giant Dipper rollercoaster is on the National Register of Historic Places. Belmont Park itself is well known and opened in 1925.
  8. MLB The Show 22 is using a different version of the Brewers City Connect jersey for some reason. I'm assuming this is the original version.
  9. The funny thing about the Pat Patriot logo is that they used a very detailed version on the helmet and only the helmet. It was actually simplified in other places. Here's the helmet logo, which I had to find from a Fathead sticker since it's very hard to find and the simplified logo is way more common and assumed to be what's on the helmet. Now here are the two versions that are everywhere and what was used in stuff like TV graphics, marketing, etc.
  10. Another interesting NBA Preseason oddity. In the 1995-96 Preseason the Sonics wore their classic uniforms in Preseason, all those games are rare as it is but they played the legendary 72-10 Bulls team. Several months later they faced each other in the Finals with the Sonics in a completely different look. The last image is from a game at Notre Dame to make it even more odd.
  11. Red facemask, white jersey, red pants. It was so good. Speaking of red facemask, an article on the Patriots website said that they actually thought of bringing back the red facemask this time with the throwbacks but the white one won out in a vote among people in the organization. They also seem to be aware that people want to see the Bledsoe era look again.
  12. It's interesting you bring this up, the Jazz court back before the mountains had a unique purple color. It looked dark purple sometimes then looked like plum or something another time. It was very weird and definitely a shade of purple that I've never seen any other team use.
  13. You picked the worst example of this to show. Let me fix it with some better examples...
  14. This whole thing is just sad to watch man. I remember they switched to the modified classic logo in 2016 and I was so happy to see it back. Look at that. That's a great logo. This rebrand would have stung less if this stayed.
  15. The Nets rebrand had a point and some design character to the uniforms and logos. The Jazz have absolutely nothing. It's just a J note and some generic font. There is literally nothing here. Say what you want about the Nets and Thunder but at least they had CHARACTER in their stuff. The Jazz eliminated everything, it is completely soulless and void of anything. It's like if a basketball team was shown in a sci-fi dystopian movie.
  16. This is the worst rebrand I have ever seen any sports team do. This is the cream of the crop. There is nothing in this look that is any good, absolutely nothing. The uniform is terrible. They put zero thought into it. No Jazz history, no city history, no state history, there is literally nothing here.
  17. Someone posted Rookie Allen Iverson and I raise you something even weirder, him wearing the headband and cornrows in his Rookie season. Nobody remembers him having his signature look in his rookie year but he started it in the 2nd half of the season, most notably in the Rookie-Sophmore game.
  18. The Utah Jazz are the dumbest team in the NBA.
  19. This league really needs to work it's rules out because it's forcing teams to look like idiots. Eagles having an outdated wordmark, the Saints wearing the wrong alternate uniform, the Rams nonsense from a few years ago, Browns being stuck in hell, etc. The Eagles shouldn't have to wait.
  20. Just noticed the Brewers wore their road alternate hat with their regular road uniform against the Cubs awhile ago. Surprised they haven't worn it at home yet.
  21. I bet putting the Nike logo above the player name was probably not done to avoid any endorsement clash with the players. The Nike swoosh above the name Curry probably would have upset Under Armour for example.
  22. I saw the home uniforms in Madden 23 footage and this is gonna look absolutely terrible in real life. The all burgundy is trash. The uniforms need contrasting pants and socks but even then the lack of stripes is ridiculous and waters down the whole look, not to mention the away jersey is on another planet compared to the home jersey. Best I can do is 4 out of 10. Maybe change it to 5 if we get contrasting pants and socks. I only rate it that high to begin with because the home jersey is the bare minimum of what I wanted and I really like the helmet.
  23. I've always loved the 4th of July hats mostly because they look like hats that can be worn in a baseball game but these are the exact opposite. They went too far this time. It's some Wal-Mart nonsense. Get outta here with this.
