  1. The uniforms are still not great, but not as bad as first portrayed when they were initially released.
  2. There are rumors of the Pac 12 getting San Diego State and SMU.
  3. We all know what Paxton Lynch is, and he's terrible. If I am the Orlando Guardians I would give Quinten Dormady and Deondre Francios a shot to see what they can do. I don't think those two ever even got a sniff of NFL rookie minicamps when they came out of college (there's nothing to indicate that either of them had any NFL tryouts either). If one of them balls out, they might finally get a chance in an NFL training camp. San Antonio has a guy named Jawon Pass, who also never got any NFL chances either and if he gets a chance to play and does well, he might get looks in the NFL. Look at Nathan Rourke. He didn't get any looks from the NFL in 2020, the year he came out and had a tryout with the New York Giants as a wide receiver (the Giants under David "I Love Daniel Jones" Gettleman and Joe Judge) in 2021. He balled out in Canada and earned an NFL deal with the Jaguars after many tryouts. Rourke should be better than CJ Beathard.
  4. Plus, right now we are in a dead period between the Super Bowl and start of the NFL League year on March 15th, unless Aaron Rodgers gets out from the darkness to make a decision before then, which will no doubt be talked about for days.
  5. I am most curious to find out what happens if Tempe votes no the Coyotes.
  6. I can see two USFL teams "swinging big" and getting the draft rights to Max Duggan and Stetson Bennett in the hopes that neither of them become Brock Purdy. In fact, the XFL has a player in Seattle 3rd String QB Harrison Frost, who is a part of this 2023 draft class. Whether or not he sees the field for Seattle remains. to be seen.
  7. Not to be confused with the Fox announcer:
  8. Of course not. but Vegas thinks otherwise. I would like to see two of the next expansion teams being Indianapolis Eleven and San Diego Loyal anyways and then have team 32 be New Mexico United or Louisville City FC.
  9. Only if Tulane (who owns the stadium) says yes. But if the USFL makes it to year three and they plan on having the 8 teams move to 8 cities, they could have issues in Philly, Pittsburgh and New Jersey, much in the same way the XFL had issues securing a venue for the Vegas Vipers. The Eagles, Jets/Giants and Steelers could be to the USFL what the Raiders were to the XFL in that those three teams could demand a massive fee to allow the USFL to play at their stadiums, but the USFL might find it too expensive. They could put the Generals and Stars in MLS stadiums of the Red Bulls and Philly Union, like how the XFL does it with the DC Defenders at Audi Field, but Subaru Park also hosts Philly Union II of MLS Next Pro and Red Bull Arena hosts NY/NJ Gotham FC of the NWSL. Also Penn and Rutgers or Princeton might not be as amenable to the USFL as the University of Houston is to the XFL.
  10. As for that other league, the USFL, I think that whenever the USFL decides to put all of their teams in their respective cities, the Breakers are the most likely of the four teams that currently do not have a home stadium to play in the city that they are intended for. We all remember the stadium debacle in Las Vegas, that ended up with them at Cashman Field. The USFL could have that situation, but three more times with the Maulers, Generals and Stars. They would also have to figure out if there's enough room for the Gamblers and Roughnecks in Houston.
  11. If the NFL doesn't adopt this rule (and I don't think they will anytime soon, based on Roger Goddell's comments during Super Bowl Week), the NFL will continue to be accused of being rigged, scripted and having the referees on payrolls of certain teams.
  12. The XFL used the 4th and 15 to replace the onside Kick and also the "on kickoffs and punts, nobody can move until the ball is in the hands of the returner" rule.
  13. A better solution is some variation of the Texans logo, but they chose not to do it instead.
  14. The highest paid clipboard holder in NFL history! Most of those guys I mentioned above, could all be good replacements for Chad Henne as Mahomes backup, except David Blough and Nathan Peterman, both of whom suck, but Andy Reid could probably fix them.
  15. The way the XFL handles questionable calls of officiating is something that the NFL should adopt. Whether that remains to be seen is unknown, but it would prevent accusations of the NFL being rigged, scripted and the refs being paid by certain teams to call penalties in their favor.
  16. Also....Paxton Lynch still sucks. This is the 4th league he has sucked in.
  17. The reason is that the city of Arlington wanted the team to be named Arlington in order to allow the XFL to have its headquarters there.
  18. TBH, there's really not anything to talk about until May, when Tempe votes on whether or not they will be the long term home of the Coyotes.
  19. it should end up like that, but will it? For all we know, the current mayor may want to keep Soldier Field the same size (with the dome proposal) in order to lure a second NFL team.
  20. They'll get a veteran, just one who they believe won't threaten Sam Howell. Names like Chase Daniel, Brian Hoyer, Blaine Gabbert, Davis Webb, Case Keenum, Nick Mullens, Nathan Peterman, David Blough, Kyle Allen, Trevor Siemien, Brandon Allen, Nate Sudfeld, Mason Rudolph all fit the type of veteran QB that Washington would want if they want to hand the keys to Howell. Even if the first four names (Daniel, Hoyer, Gabbert and Webb) all retire, there are still veterans out there that they could bring in who won't threaten Howell.
  21. If Vegas gets the A's, the city will write a 2,000 page book and send it to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and to the other NBA owners as to why Las Vegas deserves an NBA team over anyone else once Seattle joins the league. It will go into detail as to why they deserve the 32nd NBA team over Mexico City, Louisville, Kansas City, Tampa (among others who may want to be #32 in the NBA once Seattle joins the NBA). Vegas will also bombard the voicemail of MLS Commissioner Don Garber about why they deserve to join MLS over San Diego, Phoenix, Indianapolis, Louisville, Albuquerque (among others). Las Vegas having major league sports in all five major sports leagues in the United States is inevitable, whether we like it or not. To me, Vegas should have been satisfied with the Golden Knights and then later on get an MLS team, but it seems to me that they became envious of places like Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco/Bay Area and they want to collect them all.
