  1. I wish the name could have been Redgolds. Old timey but unique. I think there's a University in Wisconsin called the Bluegolds and it works well. I don't understand naming it Armada or Admirals for DC other than the government running the military. Is there any specific naval connections to DC? I know Maryland and Virginia have naval bases
  2. I would doubt it, for uniforms at least, because they probably want to use players as models for any new uniforms
  3. Minnesota offensive lineman Daniel Faalele, standing at 6'9, 380 pounds became the heaviest player to score a touchdown in college football history last night against West Virginia after lining up at fullback
  4. Simple fix, go back in time and make it so they're named the Grays and just use a G as the main logo.
  5. I wish MLB could have pulled an NFL and just put it on the sleeve. I don't hate the swoosh as much as others, but I think it does detract from the aesthetic a bit. Not to get too off topic, but why are the NFL and NHL seemingly the only leagues without the makers mark on the chest? Why couldn't the NBA get the logo on the back like hockey and MLB on the sleeve like the NFL?
  6. Baseball being 50 years behind everyone else is traditional. Them getting the swoosh now is the most baseball thing ever
  7. Probably not before playoffs though? And I'm guessing they'd want to do it after the super bowl. So I'm not sure how soon "very soon" actually is
  8. I'm surprised the Generals are back, given the brands connection to a certain former social media influencer that caused the league to go under the first time
  9. ASU with a military appreciation uniform
  10. I think the road uniforms are a big upgrade. Block lettering is superior for longer names and 2 word names IMO
  11. The Twins definitely have never had a truly terrible primary uniform like some other teams. Everything has been solid to mediocre. The current uniform is really just *meh*. We also haven't had anything super outstanding either, but I'll take it. We've really been spoiled as Twins fans a bit
  12. The acquisition of Florida puts John Quincy Adams solidly in the bottom 5 presidents
  13. Typing doesn't work on mobile for me. I need to type into the notes app and then paste it into the browser
  14. Someone told me it had to do with how old baseball cards looked or something. Like a navy and red team would look more royal and pinkish in the cards graphics. I doubt the color scheme is changing
  15. They never wore them during my lifetime so I have no nostalgia for them. They just look better than the Eli era stuff
  16. I do understand it's not about culture or basketball appeal or what feels right. I was just stating my opinion as a guy who grew up on the edge of the great plains watching the Big 10. God forbid I give my opinion from a fans perspective on what I'd like the conference to do, even if I know it probably won't happen. Not everyone with an opinion is an idiot that doesn't understand what's going on if the opinion/hope isn't in line with what's probably gonna happen
  17. Kansas and Iowa State to the B1G feels right. Having Hawkeyes vs Cyclones as a conference rivalry game will just make it way more intense. Plus Kansas would really bolster the conferences basketball appeal. They at least make more sense than Maryland and Rutgers did from a cultural perspective
  18. FIFY. Mainline (progressive) protestants want nothing to do with them
  19. I can't wait for the 2030s when the SEC gets obliterated by some bone headed Texan rube
  20. College sports as we know them are gonna change for the worse. It's one thing to have unprecedented dynasties, it's another to obliterate the regional aspect of conferences to jam as many good programs as possible into a conference
  21. Would losing A&M be worth it if they get UT and OU? I'd certainly think so. Leaves room for OK State
  22. They left their parents at age 14 in search of a better life. Eventually they take up an apprenticeship with a master designer and toil away for years, perfecting their craft. Eventually, when they're good enough, they try to join the local guild and set up their own sports branding design shop. As it has been done since the 1600s on this continent
