Think I like the logo with the blue Florida on it. Adds more blue than the thin blue highlight on the lightning bolt. It would also look better with the circle being blue instead of black.

These looks are trendy right now. Until that's not the case, it'll be impossible to get rid of them (I also hate how it looks, I get it).

I wonder how it would look on a jersey without the "Tampa Bay" lettering. I always found that unnecessary.

We can't really. Basically every player in the entire league does this.

2023 NFL Regular Season Through Super Bowl LVIII

I'd prefer not to have a neutral-site playoff game, thanks. I remember hearing speculation that the NFL was going to use last year's AFCCG as a test for more neutral-site conference championships in the future if it ended up being Bills/Chiefs. The Bengals beating the Bills ended up canceling those plans. -
Alternates in the NHL and NFL playoffs
ruttep replied to ruttep's topic in Sports Logo General Discussion
Someone already mentioned the 94 49ers, but the 94 Cowboys also wore an alternate in that NFCCG. (Side note) I prefer them in royal blue, but if the Cowboys ever commit to navy blue as their one shade of blue, I'd like them to use this uniform and the navy version they introduced a year later. -
They showed a shocking amount of restraint in Year 1 of the new set, mostly sticking to burgundy/burgundy/white/burgundy at home and burgundy/white/burgundy/white on the road. They then turned around this year and did exactly what we all feared they'd do the first time around. The Commies' uniforms are horrible, but they're so much more tolerable in proper uniform combos. When worn as mono combos, we all really get to marinate in how badly they were designed.

I will never forgive the 90s for shoehorning navy blue into nearly every team that had blue in their color scheme.

Rams have a suspect kicking game, to put it lightly. Brett Maher wouldn't fill me with confidence, especially after they tried to move on from him earlier this season only to bring him back right before the playoffs. Should've kept Matt Gay. -

This isn't an apples to oranges comparison, though. You're considering all of them for the same award. -
Think it would work better with the 90s electric blue. The contrast between black and blue would be better, at least.

Oh, they absolutely won in 2016 in Vegas gold. They lifted the Cup in it.

I'm gonna keep saying this. Stop. Disrespecting. The. 49ers. -

Mostly agree with your picks. I don't make picks when my team has a legitimate shot at winning it all (out of fear of jinxing it) -
The Niners season is still going for at least another two weeks (hopefully into February) but we already have multiple teams asking about our assistant GM Adam Peters and our DC Steve Wilks. Since John Lynch is currently both GM and President of Football Operations, there's talk of just having Lynch as President and giving Peters the GM job to keep him around. Hopefully that's what happens.

I just don't understand how having great teammates is now a minus. So for anyone to win the MVP they have to be a quarterback surrounded by nobodies and literally drag the offense to relevance singlehandedly (while a quarterback with better stats get shlt on relentlessly because he was a lower draft pick and has great teammates). This allows everyone to conveniently ignore that said MVP has the help of the top defense that gives him short fields and favorable situations out of turnovers galore. Both Purdy and Lamar received help (so do all MVP candidates) and there's nothing wrong with that. I really don't like comparing individual players for awards and rankings since it usually devolves into these kinds of arguments, but the "Lamar is the MVP by a landslide" narrative is just plain disrespectful to a quarterback (and yes, a running back) that each had significantly better overall seasons in my mind. (I am extremely biased as a Niners fan and I won't pretend not to be) -
That's fair. Agree to disagree on this one. Really, I agree with the point of your original post. The Lions' current uniforms should be a modern classic as long as proper combos are worn. I just don't see that happening with how they had their best season in a generation in -up combos. All they need in my opinion: (Thanksgiving only)

Yeah, the "ghosted" numbers need to be replaced with regular white numbers.
