  1. Disagree - it's the "week by week uniform match-up combos" That's a statement of fact, not an offering of predictions. In fact, let me refer you to Post 1 in this thread: Schedule is out so might as well get this up and running. Initial combos will be TBD unless previously announced or only one option is possible and will be updated as needed. Please give me at least 24 hours from the completion of the game or a complete uniform announcement to make any corrections as I am normally not at a computer to make changes during the game itself and I do have other things going on. This is not a prediction thread. Hot links will me placed below on each week through out the season.
  2. Do you have any pictures of him pre-patch? Maybe this is what he has done, and he isn't a secret member of CCSLC
  3. I swore that Herman Munster used one in the episode where he tried out for the Dodgers, but I can't find evidence of it
  4. Outside of this thread, I've never heard of them as sliding pits . I mean, they aren't pits.
  5. I just read most of a Front Office Sports article on PJ's regime. Woof.
  6. PJ Fleck putting his stamp on things.
  7. I always thought these were referred to as 'cut outs'. Sliding pits were a training area for sliding, or at least that's what I thought.
  8. Could they at least have fixed the jersey on that dummy so that the shoulder stripes are at least headed in the same direction? The right looks horizontal, while the left appears angled.
  9. Yep - those uniforms sure do cause the players to perform better. [/sarcasm]
  10. Every week of the season it seems. I don't honestly know
  11. Before a rain delay is called, when the field is wet and running on grass is slicker than on dirt.
  12. Have you ever noticed how outfield grass needs to be replaced periodically? That's from outfielders literally standing there. Imagine the wear and tear of running repeatedly in the same line. I also image that it is easier/safer to get traction on dirt than grass, which is important during rain.
  13. I don't think doing the cut outs on a grass field would work, as you'd wear down the grass in the basepaths.
  14. Thank goodness, since the Brewers were like 1 for 15 with RISP until the walk-off. I think Monasterio was stranded at third 3 or 4 times last night.
  15. But then they couldn't invoke the snow-capped mountains of Colorado in the Nikespeak unveiling
  16. I hadn't thought about that before your comment, which is why I was asking. I think you could get some disjointed looking unis, but some might look pretty good. We've seen efforts here in the past to use the Lombardi-R helmet with a more recent version of the Washington uniform, for example.
  17. Mixed with this throwback uniform, or throwing back to that uniform, as well? I'd be good with the Silver helmet - better than with the baby blue.
  18. I agree with your outcome, but not how you get there. The older logo more fits the look of the current uniform by being angular. The current, rounded logo stands out like a sore thumb with that uniform, ESPECIALLY because this logo exists.
  19. Good point. You have 4 uniforms to use however you see fit. Dark, white, then two of throwback and/or alt (to include color rush).
  20. Can they have two alts? No, I think.
  21. LOL - All this to announce that the team acquired the company that makes cheesewear (If I'm interpreting correctly).
  22. I want to argue with you, but you are most likely correct.
