  1. I believe they are still using expanded practice squads this year as well.
  2. 37 is unofficially retired for Joe Delaney. The article mentions this happened last year, so due to roster cuts that's probably no longer the case at this moment. But once you start dealing with possible IR trips, you could run into that issue again.
  3. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2021/04/02/kansas-city-chiefs-jersey-numbers-rules-change-brett-veach-ran-out-2020/
  4. Kansas City was about to run out of numbers that they could use. This was always going to happen as long as teams retire numbers, or withhold them unofficially.
  5. I'm guessing that may not be the case if he's switching over. Either that or there's not too much that he has to pay for. If he waited until 2022 he wouldn't have to pay for those extra jerseys.
  6. Well hopefully these do see the field because it's a better look than SNN.
  7. Is it possible this was mocked up last year and just now rolled out for the this year's draft? That would make more sense. And New England still had issues at the start of last year with players wearing the previous Color Rush jerseys mixed in with the new jerseys.
  8. 1999-Tim Couch was given a Browns jersey made by Starter but never wore it. Puma took over the contract.
  9. 15 years ago, Manchester United and Roma shared 8 goals in a 7-1 United win. Today it's currently 6-2 in the 88th minute. Manchester United leading.
  10. That pattern should have been placed on the body as well.
  11. I love that look. It reminds me of the official MLB uniform layout.
  12. Nope, they'll just move to whoever gets the deal, just like they did at ESPN and Fox. It's annoying that Alexi Lalas gets to just rotate between networks for USMNT and MLS. Listening to Taylor Twellman call the Carabao Cup instead of the BBC team was annoying.
  13. Hopefully he doesn't get the Brad Bobley treatment that the English gave Bob Bradley, just because he dared to say soccer instead of football. He's been within the Red Bull organization for years now, so the worst that should happen is that people hate him for working under the umbrella of an overpriced energy drink company.
  14. At least they'll be getting this cut and not the tire treads. . . Hopefully.
  15. If this was just because they didn't have the shorts and socks ready due to time I could understand this. but they're actually planning on going out dressed like this and I feel my inner parent yelling, "Go change out of that right now"!!!
  16. https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/2021-concacaf-gold-cup-host-cities-and-stadiums-announced Concacaf Gold Cup cities for the entire tournament have been revealed. It's very Texas heavy this year, I wonder why?
  17. UEFA decided to let designers play around with new ideas. As a result, this is what we got. Now I'll be waiting to see which country lets Puma give them a design that looks like a gridiron jersey instead of a proper soccer kit. https://www.footyheadlines.com/2021/04/uefa-allows-text-anywhere-on-front-of.html
  18. According to Paul Lukas on the Unified podcast this morning, Denver is rumored to be the first team to switch to a newer Nike template this year. I don't know if that means a completely new template or the Vapor Fusion. If it's the Fusion they'd have to have the side panels stitched over top the yoke/collar. I feel it works for every team except for Denver, unless it's sublimated. Even then it also means that if they get altered they'll look a mess.
  19. They've already started chopping off NJ/NY, as expected. This was Week 1, but I've seen Gotham used in place of NJ/NY since.
  20. If it looked like the X from the XFL, maybe. It looks like a bad Madden logo, but it still looks better than most of them.
  21. And they're reportedly after Naggelsman at Leipzig, or Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City. I would have figured they'd wait until summer, but they're already in the doghouse may as well start cutting losses. For some reason people are hoping he told the board he didn't like the Super League instead of admitting he's a bad fit for the players that Tottenham have.
  22. Lyon is well known in women's football because of how they've dominated the women's game in Europe. The biggest issue fans of Reign FC had however is the same one you have, about being able to simply move the team without a rebrand. Also, the current manager had issues with Lindsey Horan when she played at Lyon, making remarks about her weight and how she trained.
  23. Hard Ball TV show was on Fox. I remember they used Angels film clips for game footage. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardball_(1994_TV_series)
  24. https://www.footyheadlines.com/2021/04/italy-2021-22-away-kit.html https://www.footyheadlines.com/2021/04/puma-italy-austria-switzerland-czech-republic-2021-22-away-kits.html Italy and Puma coming out with a different way to do soccer kits. Different outlets are calling these the away kits, but I believe they will be the training jerseys, based on Austria's shirt not having a badge and the Czech Republic's logo being so diminutive in comparison to the Puma logo.
