  1. I'm not sure what the rules of your job have to do with anything. Are you saying that anybody that has sex should be punished because you can't for whatever reason?
  2. Reid Sinnett is possibly the worst QB that's ever been on any team's roster. I really hope they sign him! EDIT: and he should just go for it and change his last name to Stinnett, because that's what everyone calls him and it's never going to change. Just sounds so much more natural than "Sinnett." EDIT2: Isn't Josh McCown coaching high school somewhere in Texas? Surely they could get him to go to Arlington a couple of times a week.
  3. I still think the Eagles will find a way to go b-b-b in the 'Owl. At this point they'll be no less than the 2nd seed and have a home 2nd round game, which pretty much puts them in the NFCCG against, I assume, TB. I don't see them stopping the Bills offense, so unless it's a shootout like XII (where the Super Bowl LII Champion Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl) it'll likely be the Bills finally bring a trophy home. Either way, I can't imagine the infrastructure in Phoenix can support both fan bases, and I think there's a mutual respect between the two. It could lead to the most entertaining pregame shenanigans in Super Bowl history.
  4. yeah he's a total dbag. I saw him once in Philly running around all over the place trying to get balls. IIRC, he was even wearing a jersey with his name on it and acting like a celebrity. Kudos to the Rockies usher who put him in his place. https://www.crossingbroad.com/2022/08/rockies-usher-john-hands-zack-hample-another-l.html and more https://www.crossingbroad.com/2022/09/colorado-rockies-usher-expounds-on-viral-zack-hample-encounter.html
  5. Looks better without white. Also probably without red (or replace the red with white.) They should wear this full time, using a white sweater only as a clash shirt for when they play a team like the Flyers, though even then it might not be necessary.
  6. who knows if there’s any rules anymore. Sure feels like it’s a free-for-all.
  7. My worry is that the Eagles will go mono black, and the Bills go full storm trooper.
  8. According to the internet, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_(surname) "Brown is an English-language surname in origin chiefly descriptive of a person with brown hair, complexion or clothing." So they're kindasorta named for a color. Let the debate over the validity of their orange helmet begin! (actually, pretty sure arguing about the validity of their orange helmet is literally a punishable offense here, so let's not.)
  9. Both Super Bowl teams are playing on the same Monday Night, and not against each other. That's probably never happened before. This AJ Brown fella is pretty good.
  10. I don't know if he's ever going to be a true "franchise" QB, but Jalen Hurts sure looks the part tonight. This is a huge season for him, as he's either going to get PAID after this year, or have to tutor his replacement (or be traded.) Though I'm not yet sold on him as "the guy", I really like him as a dude, and I hope he proves that he's worth that money, but it's basically all or nothing - if he's anything but a true $30M/yr guy, they're going to move on.
  11. The game would look so much better with the Vikings in their purple pants, or at least with purple socks. Eagles look bad too because some players have long black t-shirts hanging out, some have white, and one guy has a white one that's practically at the bottom of his butt. Who looks in the mirror and says "yeah, I look good!"
  12. Vikings only defense so far tonight is the referees. I'm fairly certain at least two of the penalties they just called to stop the Eagles were radioed down to them, because they certainly didn't happen on the field. If you're a referee, shouldn't you be pretty GD sure that something happened before you reach for your flag? Or do they just itch for the opportunity to delay the game? They also almost cost the Eagles an extra point with a penalty that they at least recognized wasn't a real penalty, but made them kick again anyway. Loser-ass losers. EDIT: Again they call a penalty that negates a punt, then announce that it wasn't a penalty. Is this the backup referees? I know this deal with two Monday night games is rare, so do they use random jabronis to ref the later of the games? The look on their faces is horrifying - they look like that coach from Denver - in over their heads.
  13. I have no idea what they're talking about, but I find it funny that this is the kind of conversations happening on the sidelines. Probably explains why they gave up 35 points to the Lions since they're more focused on their shoes and BG finding his Fire Stick so he can watch Dragon Ball (no idea what that is).
  14. Kelly green is an alt only. When they released the new wordmark, they said it would go on the jersey in 23 or 24 (since I guess it counts as a change that needed a 2-year lead time). Similar to when the Patriots changed from the script to the arched version of theirs. I know that they've been less hardline about changing the uniforms (going from an emphatic "no" to a more wishy-washy approach) but I don't think there's been anything from any reputable source that indicates any major change is on the horizon.
  15. They're not changing uniforms next year - where did you get that from?
  16. So the new one does fill up more space since the old one was arched; and the new one would have worked better in the Super Bowl a few years ago, but man is this one soulless - and this makes it even more ridiculous that they didn't get it in on time to put it on the jerseys. Should have timed everything to go at the same time.
  17. I'm willing to give up the white-sock bottom. The toothpaste is already out of the tube on that one, and it's obsolete. But there needs to be uniformity in color. I don't care if the bottom is white on some guys and not on everyone, but at least the visible color needs to be consistent. By definition, the parts of a uniform should be uniform. There should be a higher standard in the NFL than in "lol amateur" football, where I don't care if your fat belly is exposed, calves are exposed, t-shirt is hanging down to your knees, etc. But the NFL should have a higher standard. If the slob shirts ./ cummerbunds are going to be allowed, then they should also be defined in the rule book as being allowed, should be in the style guide, and should be uniform among all players. Merton Hanks should not only come back, but should probably be the commissioner.
  18. Eagles fans used to count down the play clock back when Andy Reid's 5-paragraph-long plays lead to delay after delay after delay. They actually got flagged for a delay-of-game coming out of a time out that was called to avoid a delay-of-game! They also got flagged for calling a time out before a punt return (for some reason) and still not having the returner ready to go. Andy Reid may have been worse at clock management (and parenting) than this Hackett fellow.
  19. The generally accepted definition of monochrome on the boards only factors in the jersey and britches pants, even though that's not the literal definition. Now that alt helmets are a thing, may need to revisit that colloquial definition, since the Panthers were usually called "monochrome" when going black on black despite having the silver helmet, but now can go true monochrome with the black one. Don't even know if/when to consider the socks. I would not consider the Bengals to be monochrome today, but if some do, that's probably why.
  20. Sure seems like it. Aren't there supposed to be "quality control" coaches or coaches with some other title that are always in his ear about "heyyyyy... may have a decision to make in a sec" or "heyyyyyyy... remember, we only have x time outs, gonna need to make the decision quick" or at least guys on the sideline collecting and queuing players for pretty much any potential decision (example, making sure there's at least someone who can run out and field a punt, or making sure the FG team is ready to run out there even if the coach is taking his sweet time making the decision)? He either doesn't have good coaches around him (his fault), has good coaches but doesn't pay attention to them (also his fault), hired coaches but didn't prepare them well enough to do their jobs (also his fault), or he's just too slow upstairs to make good decisions (not technically his fault, but not anything that anyone can help him with.) Either way, this guy really does seem like he's just not ready.
  21. There's no reason for every team to use vertical stripes since half or more of the teams don't even have stripes, and some teams have already implemented workarounds, to varying degrees of success (for example, Seahawks and NYJ.) We're (or at least I'm) talking about a handful of teams here: CLE PIT GB CHI Maybe any new throwback-inspired looks (like if Miami made a new uniform based off of their throwback. Not suggesting that they alter the actual throwback.) There's a couple of other teams with bad stripes (KC and Dallas for example) but I can't see it working in those other cases. Maybe it'd work for the Colts?
  22. I thought the Titans yokes looked fine. Plus, there's at least some historical precedent for the Eagles having yokes / vertical stripes:
  23. It basically ruins the ability to flip between different things. Like if the Phillies are on cable, flipping between a streaming football game and the baseball game is a chore (not flipping to cable, but flipping back to football requires several button clicks and then loading again. I want instant.) Also, as someone who syncs the radio to the game, the streaming presents unpredictable delay that sometimes exceeds the capability of the adjustable delay that's built in to my radio. Also, if it buffers or you have to reload, re-syncing is next to impossible.
